I am so happy that Coach O is giving this young man another chance after he has worked out his issues. I hope what ever has been troubling him, he is on the right path!

But please be honest LSU fans, just imagine if this was Saban and the player was an Alabama player? You would be roasting him for allowing the player who had been in trouble before, who left the team before the biggest game of regular season, and came back just in time for the last push for CFP.

But like I said, glad he has a chance to get it together and I hope he makes the most of this opportunity!

Yes. But this board does not operate on honesty and logic.

Are you trolling yourself? Without Giles' muffed punt return, you don't get that miracle 7 OT Super Bowl win. I hope yall are still sending him thank you notes

Refs tried to help LSU last year and it wasn’t enough it would be great to have them help us instead of LSU

You realize that the hall of champions is nicer than anything in any college stadium in the country

Quality post. Some things I think have sort of been reported here in Baton Rouge. 1) Coach O did say when Divinity left the team before the Bama game for personal reasons (and I am not going to speculate what those are as that Divinity has the right to privacy like everyone else) 2) It has been reported even though Divinity left the team before the Bama game, which lets be honest, biggest regular season game LSU-Bama played since 2011, last time both were undefeated, he is still in school and is on schedule to graduate in December. 3) Thee is no indication that he will play until after the SEC Championship game leading to 4) The earliest he is likely to play is the CFP Semi-final game, assuming LSU is in that game.

So for all the Aggie trollers here, this is not about you, it is not about the SEC Title game. Hopefully, getting Divinity back with the team will help him focus and finish his degree. I assume if he does what Coach O asks of him, and lets assume he does graduate (LSU graduation is December 20), then after that time, Coach O can reinstate him and allow him to play in the CFP.

As an educator, I will always put the student first. I know some of us like to make jokes about football players not being students, but that is just not true!

Most of the players on any football team, Bama or LSU, will not play in the NFL and the goal is to get an education.

Even if they don't graduate and a coach shows a willingness to lend a hand, whose to say that gesture won't impact him later down the road in a positive way?

No one is a lost cause and we as educators and adults have a duty to reach out and help whenever we can.

You have to win one first. And being in the SEC, your chances are slim in the foreseeable future

Sarge I am curious, are you an old crusty dude in a wife beater, living in the back 40? Or a recently graduated frat star that irons his tee shirts?

Speaking of Johnny Manziel...what was his record against LSU?
