ROFLMFAO

That’s the stupidest thing ever said here and that takes a very special kind of stupid.

Disney has ownership of properties that are far more lucrative than college football. The minor (as far as they are concerned) money that college football brings them is about the equivalent to someone handing you a $5 bill.

Bingo!

There are NEVER 12 teams that have a legitimate shot at winning the championship in a given year. Generally it’s 6 maybe 7 teams who realistically have a shot.

Like I’ve said before. They should go to 4 conferences, everybody MUST join a conference for consideration to playoffs, conference champs are automatically in. The other 4 are picked by computer.

Let's compare those to the ratings before of....no first round playoff games.

I think we've found the problem... well, some of it anyways.

Its a mix of things. Blowouts and teams like IU and SMU most ball knowers knew were not good. I expected better ratings for UT Clemson

Bama got some lil bro syndrome happening in this thread. UGA with 4 of the top 7 most watched games, all of them with at least 10M viewers.

Sure the tv execs expect to get higher return out of the later rounds, but to have 4 of 11 already be ratings duds is not good. And there are still games with Boise and AZ St remaining. The ratings for the final 4 and title game will need to be record setting to make up for the early rounds. And yes, a fair amount of that 1.3 billion in value is in convincing viewers to keep paying license fees for large tv bundles.

Also, you left out the SEC team (a winner over Alabama btw) which got arse blasted in prime time.

No idea why you think your opinion matters here, your team got destroyed by Alabama.

There's a good chance Alabama would've gotten destroyed or otherwise embarrassed by someone in a later round.

Absolutely almost a 100% chance they throttle the first team they play.

I'm telling you — I've seen it so many times this season, I can almost recite it...

First round, win easily by three scores, second round, don't show up, lose inexplicably after being favored by 10½. Postgame comments go something like, "We didn't have a good week in practice, started off slow, think maybe some of us [players] didn't have the right mindset going into the game and our energy wasn't what it needed to be."

Bonus: While we watch from home, the team that knocked us out gets smoked by four touchdowns in their next game.

The bottom two were going head to head with the NFL. That's a big reason why those sucked. Especially Texas and Clemson.

It's more about the NFL.

You got blown out by the worst Oklahoma team in 30 years , no one thinks Bama would have fared better
