Just speaking for myself, it's not that I'm not bothered by what I hear, I just choose to let the chips fall where they may. There is absolutely nothing I can do to help AU if they are doing what everyone claims. I just choose to go about my life while all of it plays out.

I also believe college football/sports are not, have never and will never be clean. Every school has its place, and when they forget it other schools have ways of "reminding" them.

Oh well back to the human humidor, can anyone do something with that pic of Tubbs with the cigar after the LSU game a few years back? McClover needs to be Lewinskied

Not picking on you or saying I don't like your attitude because I do, but I'm amazed at how non-chalant and dismissive Auburn fans have been about the entire as the plains burn rumors and the rumors in general. There's a mountain of rumors and smoke everywhere but you guys seem truly unconcerned about it. One mention of a former Bama player MAYBE being on the HBO show has Bama fans sh###### their pants and expecting nothing but bad things. The contrast is amazing.

Sorry that your fanbase is pissy about something they have no control over at this point?

Have you learned nothing of how Aubie, Gump and LSUsual fans defend themselves in the face of allegation? They'd place their dicks on a waffle iron if it meant something of this sort can be swept under a rug.

Do you have any idea what his salary is? I'd pick up trash on the road if someone paid me $200,000 a year to do it.

The average annual salary for bank tellers is between $20,000-25,000. There would be an employee mutiny if he were receiving a +900% pay rate over his coworkers. I'm sure Protho gets a nominal pay bump for being a former player, but I would hardly refer to his position as being cushy.

thats what some people have suggested, idk, im sure LSU had a stacked class that year so it would be hard to imagine saban would reach on a guy like that, but i only have to look to this years alabama signee Lamichael Fanning to refute that notion

Chris Keys was living in Alabama, but still committed to LSU, when Saban left for the Dolphins. When that happened he decommitted and started looking around. He was living in the same household as an Alabama committ, Ali Sharrief. No surprise he ended up at Alabama at that point.

He didn't graduate that long ago and therefore hasn't been at the bank that long. If he's competent, he'll get promoted like nobody else. And they can pay him whatever they want. If another teller doesn't like it, then they can gtfo.

Which is probably why he's making right around baseline salary.

I agree that he will have the opportunity to be promoted as long as he doesn't totally screw up being a bank teller. But, he won't receive a gross pay differential because he played football. His bosses are fricking bankers. They don't piss away money.

Dude I'm not going to argue with you about this. If you don't think UA's rich arse boosters will set him up and pull strings for him than you're kidding yourself.

I didnt read the whole thread, but hasnt it come out that Santonio Holmes and other players have admitted to being paid? The only way this is a big deal is if the players are within the 5 year mark.

I wonder what the point of calling an ex-Bama player a former LSU recruit is?
Trying to attach more big programs to the story.

Kid was from Port Barre. . .of course LSU recruited him.

The NCAA might not be able to do anything, but a school's reputation will be irreparably tarnished after something like what people say is coming out.

I wouldn't be so sure.

The NCAA can claim the investigation was ongoing. . .thereby making the admissions part of it.
