That's some Auburn level shite right there.

I think the biggest indicator that he was going for the knee is he doesn't go after the ball AT ALL. His head and eyes are focused on the knee and his movement is headed straight for Tua's leg.

Sure looks like he aimed for that right knee.

Why are you diddling the players with a pen?

Tua even sees him aiming for it and hops... If he left his leg planted it could have been really bad.

Dude its football. From the beginning of time, if you know a player has a weak spot you go after it. Tua limping off each game makes him an easy target of where to aim for. This isn't anything new that is only done to Tua

True, we could have a whole discussion on Glenn Dorsey

I get that it happens, but acting like that wasn't his intention is just stupid.

Hit him high and it’s a personal foul and ejection. This hit is legal, move on cry baby.

Nothing illegal about it. If they don't want people going for his hurt knee, then they shouldn't play him with a hurt knee.

That’s why the OP isn’t “Illegal Dawg” but just “Dirty Dawg.” You are right, dirty play is part of football sometimes. It’s a battle and sometimes injuring a superior opponent is your best chance at victory.

Not so fast, my friend.

New rule to protect passers from low hits

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel, which met via conference call Wednesday, approved a new football rule to better protect passers from contact at or below the knee

April 16, 2014 3:54pmGreg Johnson

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel, which met via conference call Wednesday, approved a new football rule to better protect passers from low contact at or below the knee.
The rule specifically covers a scenario in which a quarterback is in a passing posture with one or both feet on the ground. In that situation, no defensive player rushing unabated can hit him forcibly at or below the knee. The defensive player also may not initiate a roll or lunge and forcibly hit the quarterback in the knee area or below.
Exceptions for these types of hits occur when:

the passer becomes a runner, either inside or outside the tackle box;

the defender grabs or wraps the passer in an attempt to make a conventional tackle;

the defender is not rushing unabated or is blocked or fouled into the passer.

A violation of this rule applies when defenders are rushing unabated to the quarterback, and it will result in a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty.

This actually got called earlier in the year on a player that went low on Tua. Believe it was in the Louisville game on Tuas first TD pass, but I may be wrong on that. But I do know it was called.

Hmm, I had forgotten they had implemented that rule for college too. I knew it was a rule in NFL as it gets called pretty often there.

Are you dipshits even looking at the video? He is putting his helmet on the ball. The hit is nowhere close to his knee. It looks awkward because tua wasn't moving well due to that knee injury none of yall want to acknowledge.

For once you guys played someone who made your QB look mortal, and you're crying like little bitches over it. It's not a good look.
