Mizzou is doing better than the average in the portal and NIL but I still hate the ever loving frick out of this era of college football.

Its not sustainable and the whole thing will fold up like a cheap suit if things are not addressed.

It's simple, he should go with the team he won the NC with.

I kinda like Gabriel’s helmet. The TJ Finley one.

Wanya Morris did this a few years ago with Tennessee and OU. He slapped a power T on his OU helmet but it makes sense with transfers being a more regular occurrence that helmets repping schools will get more deliberate with their design.

I was surprised when Wanya did it as it was the first time I’d seen a player do that (though I have no idea who might’ve started it). But Wanya was a Pruitt transfer that left bc of the NCAA mess.

Edit ~ looks like my memory of that is wrong. From the pics he just wore a Tennessee helmet even tho he’d transferred to Oklahoma. I’d say there are a lot of players with legit reasons to rep 2 schools when given a choice but when all is said and done we will have a few looking like NASCAR drivers from all the stops in their 10 years of college.

This only works because Oregon has no idea what their colors are.

It used to (maybe still is) be a tradition for players to trade helmet stickers amongst other players and wear them on their helmets for these games.

for reference

Dillon Gabriel Throws Record-Breaking Ball At Senior Bowl: Crushes Josh Allen Speed

from the link

quote:

While attending practice for the Reese's Senior Bowl in at the University of South Alabama at Hancock Whitney Stadium, Gabriel recorded a 74.9 mph throw, a seriously impressive, and potentially record breaking, statistic.

For reference, the NFL Combine record for fastest throw is currently held by Buffalo Bills' current quarterback Josh Allen and current New England Patriot's quarterback Joe Milton III at 62mph.

Yes, it's totally believable a QB threw a ball 13 MPH harder than anyone ever has before

...but upon further review....it's misleading reporting, shocker
