If you disregard the games where LSU had to cheat to win, State leads the series by 12 games.
I think that was on a recent 30 for 30.

Did you know since 1992 LSU has outscored Miss St 777-258. Yea let that simmer in you brain for a while
That's definitely impressive. Three posts in a row saying this, by three different LSU fans? Nothing says "All I have is this one comeback," like seeing the exact same stat, at the same time, by three different people.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Did Jackson or such not have a stadium for that capacity? Thanks for the answer, by the way.
Ole miss played LSU in Memorial Stadium several times as well. Ease of travel for both parties was a huge bonus. It's about 2-3 hours from both Oxford and BR. Not sure about State. Vaught Hemingway Stadium didn't reach a capacity of 34,500 until 1950. So 1951 was the first time since 1927 that Ole Miss hosted LSU in Oxford.

They all figured that stat out at their monthly meeting at Bojangles.

-LSU hosted every game from 1934 to 1957, minus three.
LSU hosted many more than that up until the 70's minus a handful of times.
State would split gate revenue with LSU for playing in Baton Rouge. So State made more money playing in BR.

Why were so many games hosted by LSU?
It was the largest stadium in the conference (alternating with Tulane Stadium occasionally - and look at the State/Tulane series, 39 away, 16 home) so State could make more money playing at LSU (or Tulane) than they could playing at home.
The same holds true for Ole Miss, more games played at LSU and Tulane than at home for those series.

Technically it's 0-14 right now (0-10 is since Miles).
In that 14 year stretch LSU has outscored MSU 548-187. That's an average margin of victory of 26 points.
Just some level-headed statistics.

Exactly. It made more sense for both MS schools to travel to BR for the games.

I'm actually impressed with how close the series is, especially once the MSU win streak, that Dak and Mullen are about to start, is added to the record W/L..
yea, things always look better when you make up shite and write the story whether true or not. Hollywood beckons you.

In 1982, MSU won 27-24
Won it last second with a kicker from Baton Rouge, Dana Moore. LSU didn't sign him and he came to state. LSU was ranked 5th and it was an evening ESPN game and Scott Field brought in portable lights for the game.

Weird how different college football is now. Teams wouldn't travel to a team two years in a row, nevertheless, 30+ years

Nothing says "forward thinking" like Shreveport.

Makes sense. Easy to forget that there was no media back then and most money was probably made at the gate on gameday.
