Yup. The NCAA said asymptomatic vaccinated players and staff would not be subject to routine testing, so Vandy made sure every player, coach, staff member, and any other person in the travel party got vaccinated. NC State had half its team unvaccinated. There’s your difference.

NC state players that were vaccinated tested positive. So how do we know that some of the Vandy players don’t have it as well?

Kinda embarrassing. So if Vandy wins another National Championship does this make them the best baseball program in the conference by a lot? SEC!, SEC!, SEC!

We don’t. The protocol was set in place to force vaccinations. It didn’t work so they fired back.

Testing healthy people is dumb base case.
When in history have we done mass testing for a virus when no symptoms were present.
Guess we are back to the whole "asymptomatic people are super spreaders" theory when that was debunked.
NCAA policy on this is not keeping up with the science

Where are you getting this from?
Here, read this quote. The Championship Medical team and the Douglas County Health Department are calling the shots. They will have to test everyone. The decision probably has not been made yet. LINK
"This decision was made based on the recommendation of the championship medical team and the Douglas County Health Department. As a result, Vanderbilt will advance to the CWS Finals.
"The NCAA and the committee regret that NC State's student-athletes and coaching staff will not be able to continue in the championship in which they earned the right to participate. Because of privacy issues, we cannot provide further details."

NC State players took rapid tests.
Vanderbilt took tests that have to be sent to a lab and will get results back Thursday.

That's not what I'm reading in these threads. And that's not a Vandy problem.

We don’t. Note that I said routine testing, not contact tracing. I think the team *should* be tested today.

They would have been tested yesterday if that was the case. Instead the NCAA announces Vandy’s advancement at 2am

I guess I missed it butbdoes it saycthere that they’ll be tested today?

That’s sarcasm right? As it’ll be over before Thursday??

Ncaa doesn't test teams for Covid who have unlimited scholarships. Another perk Vandy gets.
