Then don’t play at all.
I think you missed this part....

I'm shocked he played at all.
In our bowl game last year a Penn State defensive player did this. He played until the half and then sat out. It doesn't bother me.
I'm sure his coaches encouraged him to sit it out, if they care about him at all.

That's because you're cooler and more enlightened than the rest of us.

And what happens when he wants to be a top ten pick, and he reaches a top ten spot on everyone’s draft board in game 5?
“Hey guys, I know we’re in the middle of a potential playoff run, but frick yall, I’m done”

I think so as well. It's really cool to care about people and their future. Even those we don't know personally.
Don't you agree?

I don't deal in hypotheticals. The world, as it is, is vexing enough.

Tell me more about this rich booster pussy
And the bigger problem is every college athlete now believes they’re god’s gift to earth and are completely delusional/oblivious about their long term prospects(won’t be a pro athlete, will have a menial job and talk about the glory days for the next 50 years). This goes for pretty much any scholarship athlete on bottom tier D1 teams
Another issue is paying players revenue that they don’t generate. Very few players are bringing in new/additional fans, the brands/universities are the attraction, not the players

I read this as “I’m not very bright”

You don't read well then.
It's actually a movie quote.

Last year in LSU’s bowl game, Malik Nabors played “some” of the first quarter till he caught a couple of passes to break Josh Reed’s receiving record. Then sat out the rest of the game.
(Shameful part was the NCAA will not count Reed’s 200+ bowl yardage because it was in 2001 and before they included bowl stats.)

This is why athletes should be viewed as employees and be under contract. It will fix the majority of the problems college football is facing.

That’s what surprises me about y’all. Some of you are way more emotionally invested than the players lol.
There was zero emotion in my post. Youre projecting.
I literally just explained what happened.

Thanks. A lot of younger professionals look to us to understand how to succeed, and learn the complexity of the work and the ethic. It’s fun to take a schitt on those young people and leave on Tuesday for the week

This Miami kid probably took his guidance from Miami coaches.
Like the Miami basketball coach for instance.
He's just learning from his elders and following their example. Am I doing this right?

General comment. Not specific to you

Yeah but how does that NIL negotiation go?
Team A pays for performance
Team B gives you the cash up front to come to that school
It'll never happen
Every player in every sport gets the same no matter what school.
Every contract is the same with performance clauses

I never mentioned the basketball coach
