What was it that you believe Texas saved the SEC from exactly? Was the SEC in some sort of danger?

Personaly id like to se all power conference teams play each other more, one big league if you will.
One non conference game and a bowl game isnt enough
I want to see clemson play oregon,
Florida St. play Colorado, Oklahoma play Penn St., Vanderbilt beat Notre Dame like they did Bama. Texas play Boston college and so on and so firth more often
And hell if Troy beat LSU let all conferences mix it up more in one huge league.

It's funny to me SEC fans say OU owned us in big 12 but as soon as we get here everyone hates us, even Bama and Georgia but they dont hate OU even though Bama took a loss from a 6 loss Sooners team.
Now they see how a team with lesser conference titles can be the true Alpha of the conference and they cant stand it.
They say its lonely at the top but ill take the high road

Nobody wants Texas in the conference. Or A&M.

Is this some kind of opposites game? I have lived in Texas since I graduated from college in the 90s. Anyone who knows a lick about college football knows that the SEC saved Texas. Texas had been drifting for years. Pretty much from around the time A&M, Missouri, and Nebraska left the Big 12 Texas had a couple of bad HC hires. A lot of bad PR. Started losing often to teams they should have steamrolled. Started being less favored by recruits. I always figured it was karma for then effing up the Big 12.
