You're insane if you thought that after spending 2 decades to make this happen that BMS and Pilot weren't going to go all out on the bling to prove themselves. A metric ton of pride was on the line for both BMS and Pilot and to be fair they deserve a pat on the back.
This game has been a pipe dream for most of my life and they finally managed to not only make it happen but also pull it off in style.

I don't want to get into this with you again. It's pointless. We claim more championships than we should, what we don't do is commemorate division championships that we didn't win.
Enough already, BMS was 100% in charge of the post game festivities, the kids were just enjoying themselves. VT would have gotten the same shirts, and hats, and confetti, and trophy, had they won the game. It's a once in a lifetime event, a world record was broken. It's pathetic how rustled this board is over something that doesn't affect them whatsoever.
