Ole Miss got hit because they are a much bigger deal in their minds than they are to everyone else and it was unfathomable to them that other people would think it’s really odd for them to be pulling top 5 recruiting classes. Everyone that signs 4/5 star players cheats but for them to pull the classes they pulled they had to go way overboard and anyone with a brain knew it. They were driving 120 mph instead of 78. Of course the NCAA didn’t prove nearly as much as went on because it really doesn’t take much brain power to hide money from an institution with no subpoena power. They trumped up a bunch of small shite and used Leo Lewis to get what they wanted. They blame State for their NCAA problems when in actuality the major programs beating down the NCAA’s door to stop them is the real reason they are where they are. The NCAA just used State as a pawn.

Clemson can offer that too.
A good player will get drafted from anywhere these days, you seem delusional.
Are you trying to convince us Alabama doesnt cheat?

What am I missing? That you can honestly believe that your program doesn’t cheat, that’s what...

Of course Bama cheats, but what do schools like Ole Miss have to do vs what Bama has to do?
That’s all I’m saying. Saban doesn’t have to really try too hard unless the kid has no interest. Bama sells itself.

Our only mistake was complying with the NCAA.

Too bad there are some credible accusations about Freeze that, at least in my opinion, deem him unworthy of being a coach at a major university.

Dude loses recruits to other schools all the time.
Vice versa too.
How does Bama "sell itself"?

I think he'd be great OC if that's off the table

Look up all the photos of Bama recruits with new whips, that's selling yourself

Believe me, you don’t want to know how the sausage is made. You’d be surprised — recruiting is a shady business.

Y’all still on that? Bama’s been giving away cars with no proof since 2007? Jesus people...

It's easy to find, even custom plates. Like y'all don't need to keep it under the table or something..

Still waiting for how Bama "sells itself".

Some of your basevol brethren would disagree. I’ll admit that unless it’s a big game, I have to actually attend baseball games, I can’t watch it on TV. My interest has certainly waned since my younger days...

They arent cheating "at sports".
They're cheating by NCAA rules but then the NCAA is a broken system so
It's cheating if people aren't playing by the agreed upon rules.
That said, just because something is an infraction it doesn't mean it's cheating. I'm talking about cheating that gets players to go to a school to start with. I don't care about $100 handshakes and that type of stuff that goes on everywhere.

Considering it's their best chance at making the NFL by far, it's not hard to understand why kids go to the major schools - without cheating.
A 5 star is twice as likely to get drafted in the 1st round by going to Alabama than they are any other school.
That results in millions of dollars for those kids later down the road.
And if Alabama is cheating, I hope they get caught.

National Championships with a clear history of success above and beyond every other school in college football for putting kids into the NFL. That being in large part a result of superior coach and training.
Are you telling me if you are a 5 star talent with a future in the NFL you are going to consider going to schools that have worse coaches, worse training, worse records for putting people into the NFL? Going to blow your future at Tulane? I doubt it.
