We are about to start playing them every year in both sports. Its not like oh we gotta play because we don't know when the next time will be.. That was Bill self and the basketball department 3 years ago.

No AD is saying "we don't want to play this team" because no AD is given that option. They're given time slots and locations. That's it. We have a conflict with the liberty bowl's time slot. It's not complicated.

ku plays at Faurot in 2025. First game between the two in over a decade, so why spoil what will be a great marketing opportunity for the school and the city? Why hand that to Memphis?

I also believe, if true, this is a poetic justice for getting screwed out of an Orange Bowl appearance in '07.

Again, if true, it's refreshing to have an AD standing up for the interests of Mizzou.

The Playoff has frankly made bowls a joke. I think it would be great to play kansas again in one, but they're the ones that cut off that OOC opportunity a long time ago. Not us.

none of this matters.

Teams shouldn't be invited to bowls for being the definition of average.

7 wins needs to be the cutoff.

We play UK in CoMo the same day as the Liberty Bowl. A Liberty Bowl matchup with kU would have been fun, but it just wasn't logistically viable this year

Huh??? Lol. You dont realistically think your basketball team is doing anything this year do you?

Our football team didn't do much, but we did manage to beat that pathetic pig arse, but that was expected.

You don't honestly think your basketball team won't underachieve just like your football team did, do you?

No you stupid inbred fricktard.

We had our Bragging Rights game against Illinois the same day as our bowl game last year. Lots of folks bitched about that so the AD said it's not happening two years in a row.

Let another bowl match us up with kansas. Just not on the same day we play Kentucky in a home bball game.

Can your little pea brain understand this?

Yes. Your fanbase is too small and uninterested in Mizzou athletics to conduct and attend two events on the same day. It’s extremely straightforward that it’s a you problem. Or at least that’s the excuse you’ve been led to believe to dodge Kansas and play East Carolina instead.

To turndown, you have to first be offered. That has not happened.

Part of it is timing of game in relation to Christmas.

Per Gabe with PowerMizzou 11/30/22: "Some may not view Gasparilla as better than the Birmingham Bowl, but it's a much better location, it's before Christmas, which I know is something the team likes. So I'd say now the Texas and Gasparilla might be the most likely with the Liberty third."

Gabe's 12/2/22 update: "I think Birmingham, Texas, Gasparilla, maybe Liberty are in play. Ole Miss seems to be hearing more Texas Bowl at this point in time. Which could mean Vegas could open back up as a possibility? Got to see what happens in the SEC title game."

Opponent has super little or nothing to do with it. F**k ku!

Read my post above.

Our AD is close with those in vegas and is working that connection. Shes gonna work that and try to get that first before she would just settle for liberty or anything else. No way am I saying we get it over ya'll im just saying shes trying to see if that works first.

I knew Mizzou had had success against the Hogs, but I didn't know y'all owned their asses.

Good job, Chad Morris.
