Did Fields throw any vertical passes over 20 yards last night?

Not sure if anyone noticed it but the kid did not seem like he could hurl it far down the middle last night like he did for Clemson. Fields was in obvious pain I think. Played a GOAT game against Clemson but came up short against a much better defense last night. Hats off to him for competing and wanting this season despite what the Big 10 wanted.

For one - he was clearly hurting after the first shot (but he was hurting against Clemson too and he made throws).

For two - we pressured the hell out of him.

For three - he looked downfield a bunch......we covered the hell out of it. His only options were crossers and a few throws in between the zones.

He threw a couple... However we were covering pretty well on the deep go routes. He just wasn't accurate last night

Good for us but a shame for him. I do wonder if he's really done at Ohio State. I don't know if he'll go high in the NFL draft. Great competitor. You can see he really plays 100%.

I think he regressed to the mean somewhat... not to take anything away from him, but he was nowhere near as good most of the year as he was against Clemson.

I didn't watch in detail of his other games. Maybe the one against Clemson was just the best game of his life.

It was, but he was really good most of last year, too. He just wasn't the same guy this year outside of the Clemson game.

He has serious issues reading things quickly and making decisions. I'd be terrified to draft him if I was a NFL organization.

He beat Clemson because he knew his dudes were beating their dudes down the field. His pure talent is off the charts, but the mental game is not there. I don't know if it's because of the offense they run or what, but he's consistently struggled against teams that make him make quick decisions that involve #2 or #3 options on a play.

Surtain was on the whole season. Should go high in the draft. Bama is now DBU too it appears.

He had zero fire in him last night. Looked like he did not want to be there.
