Last game of the season, playoff hopes on the line, at home, and barely squeeked by LSU. Mateer had 3 INTs. Team rushing 2.7 ypc. Does not inspire at lot of confidence.

Even their game against Bama wasn’t a good one.

Oklahoma and Alabama will be about as enjoyable to watch as drinking Flat Diet Coke.

They should have dog walked us at home is the point.

If they can’t beat a flailing LSU team at home, good luck with bama

I'm not really picking up what's being put down here either.

Compared to the games when Lincoln Riley coached the Sooners, Oklahoma's offense has been dialed back a lot.

The coaching staff working with what they have lean on the defense to limit what the opposition can do and the job of the offense is to not lose.

It is not as exciting as watching a 55-48 or 53-45 4OT game but the result is losses are now wins.

We'll take it however we can get it.

The same Alabama team they beat in Tuscaloosa the week before they beat LSU?

OP is talking about how OU's offense is dogshit, and that's really not up for debate. They won the games in question because of their defense.

A healthy LSU has a very good defense. It really dominated that game until the broken coverage.

Bama has it's limitations. It doesn't run the ball well typically, and Oklahoma can rush the passer. Those are the keys to the game, IMO.

Their defense and special teams is what won them the last game against Alabama. The pick six with the no call DPI, and then getting the ball multiple times in Alabama territory due to turnovers.

Alabama has to limit it's mistakes.

Alabama can beat every single team in the country. We can also lose to any team in the country.

Let's take a look at the defenses these teams have faced recently.

Since Tennessee Alabama defenses played(according to F+):

#21 South Carolina
#8 LSU
#4 Oklahoma
#12 Auburn
#11 Georgia.

Oklahoma played:

#34 Ole Miss
#51 Tennessee
#10 Alabama
#13 Missouri
#8 LSU

So both teams kind of ended the season playing tough defenses. Although Oklahoma's was slightly easier before Alabama.

Oddly enough, Tennessee was the 2nd easiest defense Alabama played all year. ULM was like #123 and Alabama won that game 73-0.

Is Bama going to protect Simpson? It's going to be a tough game if it doesn't.

Maybe that's because our shitty QB threw 3 INTs and didn't even see wide open TD throws like this:
