Miss State was flying high after knocking off LSU on the road in week one. Then the Hogs go on the road in week 2 and beat Leach. Then his team literally falls apart.

Sam Pittman deserves the credit for what's happening to Miss State, imo.

They helped write the blueprint to stop it with the players he currently has on the roster.

But there's always going to be some issues when you go from one coach who is the polar opposite of the other.

Have never seen a faster fall from the mountaintop in an SEC season.

Well, except for LSUsual.

Tell me about it. Arkansas has flip flopped on philosophies with their last four coaching hires. We haven't had to publicly purge our players though. It's weird.

Honestly, maybe that was needed during some of those coaching hires.

Although I think your new coach is getting a ton out of the guys he has. Arky looks to be on the upswing.

But I think most thought the pirate would be in trouble this year --- I still think in a year or two he will upset some good teams. However, LSU, just like AU is not a good team.

I don't think Arky is a good team yet, either, but they are a well coached team and are playing hard. Miss State right now seems to be lacking in the latter on offense.

State really just got screwed by beating LSU. They were predicted to be terrible this year but that LSU win turned everything upset down since LSU is a traditional power and then the two performance after that game have ripped them to shreds internally as a team and fan base. Most likely, what we’ve seen the last two weeks is an accurate snapshot of where they currently are with his system and the first week was a once in a lifetime anomaly. If the LSU game hadn’t happened, all would probably be fine in Pirate land.

That game one wouldn't have happened if LSU hadn't hired a moron as their new DC. He apparently tried to play Leach man up all night long.

Neither he nor State fans should have been "flying high" after the LSU win. IMO that is the worst thing that could've happened to them. I'm a Leach fan and I figured he'd struggle to hit .500 this year. This is not a one-year fix scenario. And the bandwagon clip he did after the LSU win was the stupidest thing I've ever seen, I like the guy but I'll call him out when he deserves it and he deserved it.

Chad purged a lot of players from the Bert years and God help us most of us were in favor of it. When a coach gets embarrassed, and God knows Chad was, the urge to find scapegoats and throw them under that bus is pretty strong.

We are still a year or so away. You don't repair that much damage that quickly. We are a fighting team though and that will give you a shot against a lot of teams.

For Auburn I am starting to wonder if not just the fans but the players are starting to get some coaching fatigue. There is some talent there but not a lot of fire.
