The Bama teams were not even close to the same. You might have a point if they were.

Watson will be better long term, IMO. Has higher upside.
Quotes like this and the accuracy thing are based on emotion, but not founded in fact.
DW may be better than Cam in the long term but he will need an excellent NFL career to to even come close to what Cam has currently accomplished. He has been rookie of the year, breaking a boat load of passing and QB rushing records that season. He has been the most important player on 3 playoff teams and will likely win the MVP, possibly the NFC and Super Bowl this season. Assuming Cam doesn't accomplish anything else which is crazy because you would be choosing to ignore he has gotten better every year since we first saw him in 2010...but just looking at what he has accomplished to date. 99% of NFL QB's never experience that type of success.
Certainly DW could be better long term but the problem arises with the fact that winning rookie of the year, breaking records, leading teams to the playoffs, winning playoff games, MVP's, possibly more happens to very few QB's. It is obviously more likely he won't be better than Cam, but emotions are emotions.
For those saying DW is more accurate emphatically...stats are your friend. Stats say otherwise.

It was a great run, and I think a defining moment in that season for both Cam and AU, but you literally don't know what literally means.

If I had to choose I would take Cam every time. However, I would take Deshaun right now due to his being eligible. Cam is an overall better talent overall and the I'm gonna win this game no matter what.

Tell me how this Bama D was better? You gave up 500 plus yards to Clemson.
It was a good comparison considering you guys had Cam bottled up and nearly out until the 2nd half of that 2010 Iron Bowl.

It's incredibly stupid, for a lot reasons, to say that because Cam beat a Bama team 5 years ago, he's definitely better than Watson who fell short in the NC this year

Cam went on to win the 2010 National Championship, are you serious with this response?

Josh Heupel, Craig Krenzel, Greg McElroy won an NC, and Marcus Mariota and Michael Vick and Peyton Manning did not. Are you fricking serious with this?

Cam was so good that every subsequent Auburn quarterback has Cam in his name. He's basically the Julius Caesar of Auburn QBs. Until Clemson QBs are known as "mocha Watson" or "vanilla Watson", Cam wins the argument hands down.

The camback still hurts you. 6 years later you're still talking about Cam and it won't ever change. Cam took something from bama fans that year that will never be replaced.

Didnt that same Bama D make Steven Garcia look like an all american? People shouldnt be comparing the two based off of games against Alabama

Our offense was much better this year too. 40 couldn't beat Beat this year, but 28 was enough for Cam. We're talking about the breaks that happened in 2 random games against totally different rosters 5 years apart. I can't even believe we're having this conversation.

Watson is unquestionably a more accurate passer and much more of a threat to run. Again in college.
People keep repeating this.

Cam's completion % in 2010 was 66.1%.
Watson's completion % in 2015 was 67.8%.
Now 67.8 is "unquestionably" more "accurate" than 66.1 mathematically, that is perfectly true. But its not as if that is a HUGE step up in accuracy.
What is unquestionable is this: Watson's yards per attempt on his passes was 8.4 in 2015. What was Cam's in 2010? 10.2 yards per attempt.

I can. It's all about Cam and no matter how many ships you guys may win, Cam will always take up a little space in that head.
