That is the Derrick Henry story in a nutshell.
Broke crazy amounts of records in highschool with extreme numbers. Response: He'll never do that kind of thing in college football.
Breaks crazy records including a SEC rushing record that was set nearly 35 years earlier on less carries. Response: He'll never do that kind of thing in the NFL.
One day people will stop calling me dumb for saying Henry > Bo and Walker, and I think that day is coming soon.

Henry is a 270Lb scat back.
He was possibly the worst short yardage back of the Saban era, but he’s amazing in space.

In a football sense....maybe. But, with all due respect, DH will never score 30 TDs in the NFL then turn around and hit .300 in the Majors. Bo is the man....period!

Props to Henry. Beast!
Players like Henry, Cooper, Ridley, Lamar Jackson, Surtain, Juedy, Tunsil, Leatherwood, etc etc getting out of state is why the Florida Big 3 fell off and will never be the same.

Dudes a beast. Best back to come out of a1abama. Harris should have a very good NFL career also.

I'm a big fan of Bo, but obviously this is about football.

Neither did Bo Jackson... I loved watching him, but his best average was .272. His career avg was .250
Dude struck out a lot, but damn could he blast the ball out of the park.

Hate he got hurt today, but I’ll admit I was very slow to give Burrow his due. If buying stock in a player, his price would definitely be higher than Tua’s.
Some guys just take a bit. Burrow just didn’t look elite his first year at LSU. Jones at Bama looks to be a kid that might end up being a mid/late first rounder that perhaps would have been written off completely if he was forced into action his first couple years on campus.
I know there’s a huge push by many Vols fans to play the freshman QB. Jones might be an example of why you don’t.

many Alabama fans who fully expected Henry to play linebacker
Anyone who thought this after DH took it 80 yds to the house against Arky his freshman year will never get it!
