Again, I ask. Why would the case not have been heard?

Ask Dellenger. It seems the general consensus is that LSU is attempting to walk back its stance by filling up its roster & thus cooling the room temp for tomorrow’s potential vote.

I would be surprised if that vote happens now since LSU caved.

the time is right to exit. LSU will remain silent and offer zero push back tomorrow , as the monetary offers they have been presented are insane.

Meh, this doesn’t have anything to do with the two roster spots. This has everything to do with LOIC.

Louisiana AG stated yesterday that she nor LSU has any intentions of trying to stop the hearing today.

That’s what prompted my question.

It seems as if Louisiana is content to let it play out in the courts, which will take years.

Which aspect are you referring to here? I can’t imagine any of this taking years to sort through and wouldn’t expect LSU to push back much after today.

The lost revenue from sponsors and NIL deals and ticket sales, merchandising, scheduling, loss of venue revenue for games that don’t get played

I would think that every person who has paid a dime into a SEC program who suddenly isn’t getting a return on their investment would look to recoup it.

I don’t know, maybe folks are more generous than I give them credit for being.

The Nike news is just the tip of the iceberg. The eyes of the brass have been opened to some very pleasant scenarios for the Tigers. Oh SEC, we no longer need you.

Is she doing ok? Has anyone checked in on her? She was bleeding all over this board for days. I hope she’s ok.

Idk, I called my shot before the original hearing was canceled.

LSU caved = no vote on expulsion.

Anyone claiming LSU “caved” because Sankey threatened expulsion is giving that threat far more credibility than it deserves.

The SEC was never going to expel LSU over this…

Removing one of the conference’s biggest brands and revenue-producing programs would create a financial, contractual, and legal mess for the SEC itself. Sankey knew that. LSU knew it. The threat was designed to intimidate LSU into backing down—not because expulsion was a realistic endgame.

Then came the TRO…

The SEC went to court seeking an order to prevent LSU from interfering with the vote. LSU responded by making it clear it wasn’t going to stop the vote.

At that point, what exactly was left for the SEC to restrain?

That isn’t LSU surrendering. It’s LSU refusing to hand Sankey the confrontation he wanted.

Sankey needed LSU to take the bait. He needed LSU to attempt to block the vote so he could portray the university as defying the conference, escalate the dispute, and justify whatever punishment came next…

LSU gave him nothing…

No attempt to stop the vote.
No violation of a court order.
No easy justification for escalation.

Sankey walked into this expecting LSU to play the game on his terms…

LSU refused…

There’s a difference between backing down and refusing to walk into a trap…

LSU didn’t cave…

Sankey simply didn’t get the fight he was counting on…

LSU got bitch slapped. That’s why you people are thumping your chests on this board, but the Tiger Rant has been in cataclysmic victimhood meltdown mode.

The Rousse letter was sent before the vote for expulsion was on the table rendering the OP’s take moot.

I wasn’t the one who bumped this thread at 4am. I was happy to let today play out before adding any more commentary.
