The same Brainstrust who have screamed Bobo throws too many screens and doesn’t throw enough deep balls, now says we should not have aired it out and made more short throws to TEs. This is fun to watch,

The definition of conservative playcalling = net 0 yards on the play.

The definition of aggressive playcalling is 8+ yards per play.

The actual playcalls and risk factors for those playcalls do not calculate in what is conservative and aggressive.

This is armchair OC 101.

That's the first time I've ever been connected to a brain trust. I'm flattered.

A team had a bad quarter against an Oklahoma defense. Imagine fricking that! 34 points tied for the most against Oklahoma's defense in their last 20 games. You're one of those terrible Georgia fans who's chasing football perfection and won't ever be satisfied. You won't find any contentment as a fan until we play our A game every single week, which is impossible and will never happen so you might as well find a new hobby, because this one doesn't seem to be working for you at all.

Amen, Brother! I just don't understand the criticism, especially of Gunner, who has given his all to the program. Football's a difficult and complex sport, and the SEC is the most competitive league in the country. I guess some of these critics just don't remember losing to Vandy, Kentucky, Arkansas, etc. Enjoy the ride, fellas.

It seemed like he was through an inordinate number of deep balls to the sideline.

You don’t sentence much, do you?

Nah, that's not true. Aggressive in this context implies high risk, high reward, but also high failure rate. If you get too aggressive, the failures override the successes and you end up with a lower yards per play or turnovers.

Consider an analogy for what you said above: aggressive driving. If your goal is to maximize the distance driven in 8 hours, driving 50 mph faster than the flow of traffic is aggressive, but you're not gonna make it very far before you either crash or get busted. Driving at a safer speed is less aggressive but you'll very likely cover more distance in the allotted time.

I think my sarcasm meter is broken. Or maybe I should've read back through the thread.

Don't be. I don't think that was meant to be respectful.
