1) Florida

Jon Bostic and Jelani Jenkins. Two guys who will be playing on Sundays soon. Bostic has torn it up so far this year against tough competition, and Jelani has missed some games but has looked good when he's played. McCray is making a name for himself too. Good for him in his Senior campaign.


2) Stanford

Chase Thomas. Trent Murphy. Shayne Skov. They've combined for 14 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 INTs, 3 PBUs, 2 QB Hurries, and 1 FF.


3) Alabama

CJ Mosley is having an All American season so far. He's got 39 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a PBU, a FF, and a Pick 6. Adrian Hubbard is progressively coming into his own. He leads the team with 2.5 sacks and is applying constant pressure. He's looked good dropping back into coverage and has batted down one pass. Nico/Trey are playing well too, and Dickson is filling out nicely at Jack.


4) Georgia

Alec Ogletree has missed some games, but he's still one of the better ILBs in the nation. I believe we all know what Jarvis Jones has been doing. Amario Herrera is having a breakout Sophomore season imo, 47 tackles on the year. He's added a pick 6.


5) Notre Dame

It's hard not to list Notre Dame. They have Manti Te'o who is just a stud. I gave him flack before, but I was honestly just poking fun. I was afraid that if he would've went to the NFL last year Hightower may not have been taken in the first round, and I may have been right. He's got 48 tackles, 3 INTs, 3 PBUs, and 3 QB Hurries on the year. Prince Shembo is second on the team in TFL and tied for 2nd with 2 sacks. He's a Junior but next year with Te'o gone expect him to step it up.

Let me get the easy one out of the way. PP7 could have made a huge difference in the BCSNC when TM was getting torched more than a hot ride at a chop shop.

Next, let me just address the Chris Faulk thing:

L2R. I said "one of the best", not "the best". I've taken some time and provided the links on Faulk.

Well I mean CBS lists him as the second RB prospect. Though that isn't relevant. He's been injured and is sharing touches with Yeldon. Plus we're leaning on the pass more this year.

Well like you pointed out, I thought you originally said that LSU fans Mett would be THE best QB. But in regards to Faulk, like I said earlier, do you honestly believe that we could predict after Week 1 that 4 of our 5 starters would potentially be out by now? At THAT time, when it was just Faulk, we thought they'd still be a solid OL. A little down missing Faulk, but still a solid group nontheless. Hence all the "well be OK w/o Faulk" comments, at THAT time, when it was just Chris who was out.

Well, I personally said that losing Faulk was a bigger lost than losing Tyrann Mathieu. I can't control what other posters say but if you believe ravaging through threads from past months and finding 30 LSU posters who thought Mett would be one of the SEC QB's this season justifies me and the other 2 guys getting banned from the site, more power to you.

And I said it earlier twice, at the TIME of losing Faulk, I seriously doubt we knew Williford, Hurst, and Lonergan would be joining him on the sidelines this week. HENCE the "we'll be ok" comments that you probably spent 45 minutes looking up.
