1 loss SEC Champs > 3 loss champions of excuses.

Why when you lose a single back can you not muster a single rushing yards. We had them go down all year. Never had that happen. Next man up. That used to be Bama. Now it's next excuse up

Do you think players are just recruiting rank numbers and nothing more or something? Do you understand the concept of having the right kind of players and measurable to play the type of football you want?

Right now Alabama has a bunch of players that were recruited for 1 system. We're at the same time recruiting new players to fit the new system, and we've got to come up with a team that works in between.

And we've played a tough schedule and very few cupcakes so we don't have a bunch of games where depth got to play.

I look at recruiting rankings and it looks to me like DeBoer is getting his guys. Last year we had a top5 class too. We improved from last year to this year.

Hell, if we make knee jerk reactions about a single game, then how did Georgia ever win the NC in 2021 after losing the SECCG by 17?

Future looks good to me.

You may or may not be old enough to remember Miami in the late 80s and early 90s, don't know what else to tell ya.

Comparing Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma to Dennis Erickson at Miami really really doesn't work.

What do you mean? For 5 years you've been crying it was your injuries and the turf.

You have gotten worse every game in November. Your QB lacks toughness and is in the wrong bracket for that.

LSU has the #8 defense in the country.
Oklahoma has the #4 defense in the country.
Auburn has the #12 defense i the country.

That's how we ended the year.

Georgia:
Florida - #37
Miss St - #60
Texas - #14
GT - #65

Richt was mid overall? That's laughable.

Based on one season? Anyways, there's 18 teams. Not sure what you guys mean these days by "mid". Just middle of the pack? Then mathematically you would say the middle 6 teams (18/3=6). But Bama (and a lot of teams) will be top 6 a lot of the time.

Any team that's in a 12 team playoffs out of 120 or so teams is not a mediocre team.

If by welfare, you must mean financially. Not sure if you're aware but Bama is the biggest draw of games in all of college football. So, Bama is by far not a "welfare" team.

But you can think what you like even if it doesn't line up with reality. I'll support you my bro

In what universe is Ty Simpson a 1st round draft pick?

I tend to agree. He's done better than I expected as a whole but he needs a lot more work before he's thrown to the wolves of the NFL.

Alabama would be better off if Deboer got hired by another school.

No, I mean welfare with respect to holding on to your national relevance because the playoff takes so many teams now.

This is what Butch Jones told Tennessee fans.

The best coaches adapt their scheme to their talent. And their's a shite ton of talent at Alabama right now.

You mean like going 10-3 on the 4th toughest schedule in college football?

Saban didn’t do much until year 4 at LSU.

I guess that is arguable. Saban/LSU was 10-3 in year 2 and finished tied for 1st in the West. I guess it depends on your definition of successful?

Saban won the SEC and the Sugar Bowl in year 2. LSU went 3-8 (1-7) just two years prior. That's pretty damned successful.

Absolutely. My post was saying he did well in his second year...but maybe i wasn't as clear as I should have been.

Only the crazy ones are turning on DeBoer right now. Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe are Saban qb's. You've got to give him time to implement his own qb and OL that fits his system before going crazy. Alabama doesn't want to be a coaching graveyard like Auburn, LSU, etc. trying to find that next Saban. He doesn't exist. Both Ty and Jalen have shown bad decision making and the inability/inconsistency to find the open receiver. Play calling can suck at times too, but a lot of Alabama's issues are down to lack of execution. OL play has been an issue for a while now before DeBoer.

Congrats on your win. It was well deserved.

Everything Georgia fans are trying to claim beyond that though is laughable.

So we played at least a compatible schedule and showed constant improvement. You got worse. Than we whipped you

We are the SEC champs. Your are full of excuses and trying to claim that because you were elite 10 years ago that has some meaning now

Alabama played the #4 toughest schedule in the country. Georgia's schedule was 30% easier than Alabama's.

Actual power rankings of the schedule Alabama played since Georgia:

#9 Vandy
#21 Missouri
#18 Tennessee
#39 USC
#31 LSU
#13 Oklahoma
#25 Auburn

Georgia:
#63 Kentucky
#25 Auburn
#11 Ole Miss
#53 Florida
#51 Miss St
#20 Texas
#40 GT

Quite a bit easier. Hard to believe you finished November strong after playing 3 teams ranked 40th and below. You got 4 such teams since playing Alabama, Alabama got 0, unless you count the FCS games, which adds 1 for both.
