No wonder New Orleans is a poor, pitiful, example of what a 3rd world city looks like right here in America.
Well spoken. New Orleans is an embarrasment. And I grew up in Louisiana and still consider it home. Make sure you lock your doors and be alert. Crime everywhere.

WTF? CajunBama is in Metarie and telling everyone how shitty NO is and why it is.
I just listed verifiable FACTS. These FACTS are the reasons why I live in Metairie (you misspelled Metairie by the way) instead of New Orleans.

I live in Birmingham with our indicted mayor langsford who has to be the biggest clown on the planet. Talk about third world a-hole. Isn't Jefferson county which includes Birmingham $3,000,000,000 in debt. Now gump tell me what poor is. That is more debt that the entire state of Louisiana has.

Yeah, he's a real idiot, much like Nagin, but not as stupid as Willie Jefferson. The culture of political corruption is worn like a badge of honor in this city and state.

wait until you see how much the Mormons from Utah will spend on Bourbon street.

Did anyone see the 12 days of a Redneck Christmas? Had to be filmed in Alabama!! Ther trailers, shooting their junk cars to get shotgun shells for their Christmas Tree as ornaments, picking up roadkill to eat, and going out hunting possumm for Christmas dinner. It was terrible. It was hosted by Tom Arnold, and was halarious!

Not surprising, it was in TN.

This is what you said. Where can I verify the fact that Cornholio and that douche bag are fricking retards? It ain't on Wikipedia. Truth is, none of what you said is fact, according to the defintion of the word fact. I did mispell Metairie, that's a fact, so thanks for correcting me on that one. You also claim that the label of corrupt politics is something we take pride in. NO. Most don't take pride in that label. Hell, i'd say it gets overblown sometimes. Politics here are no more corrupt than almost anywhere in the WORLD.Watch the news once in a while for examples. It's an old stigma we may never get rid of because of people like you who live here and whine about how bad it is without ever caring enough to really do anything about it.. I LOVE Louisiana and it's people, culture, food, architecture, history and the greatest school in God's world... LSU.

or the Birmingham mayor in the NEWS RIGHT NOW! I wonder if some of the people out there who like to think of La. this way even know that Edwin Edwards has been in jail for a while now. We haven't had any real big scandals come out of the G's Mansion in a long time.

Actually, New Orleans economy is doing quite well. And Alabama wishes they had a city like New Orleans. Hell there is more history in one block of N.O. than in the whole damn state of alabama. The only history alabama has is george wallace standing on the steps of UA..............

I don't want a N.O. here. Hell.. I don't want B'ham here. Both cities suck.

What planet are you living on? The city of New Orleans has the lowest income and standard of living of any city it's size in America. Per capita, New Orleans has the highest murder rate in America. That's two #1s for NOLA. Are you proud?
I live near New [shithole] Orleans in suburban Gretna but I only spend 6 months a year here and only because I own a business that has a longterm contract with the state of Louisiana. My children (34 & 29) went to college at Alabama and Stanford. I told them to never come back to Louisiana and, Thank God, they haven't.
Anyone reading this thread heed this warning:
STAY AWAY FROM NEW ORLEANS!!! IT IS A HORRIBLE PLACE. POVERTY, CRIME, CORROUPTION, STDs, AND THE UGLIEST GEOGRAPHY ON EARTH IS ALL YOU'LL FIND THERE.
