Durkin really turned things around at Ole Miss. He switched our defense over to a 3-2-6 based off of our personnel, and our defense was playing damn good the second half of the year. In fact, this was the first year in a long while that our defense actually won some games for us.
Hate to hear that we're losing him. Guy did a hell of a job for us and is a damn good defensive coach.

Ole Miss defense played great against Baylor - and kept them in the game while the young QB got the chance to get comfortable.

Sorry to say but Durkin is washed up. His defenses were horrible at ole miss

If so, that's a good get for A&M. Regardless of end-of-season rankings, he turned Ole Miss's defense from arguably last in the FBS to respectable, if not good, by the end of the year. And all with very little talent.
I just wish Ole Miss would do everything in its power to keep him, and I wish he would show a little loyalty to Kiffin and Ole Miss for giving him an opportunity.

He took them from 117th to 51st in scoring D. He had similar gains in S&P DEF as well. Largely Ole Miss seems pleased with the job he did.
