Wrong.
He said he knew the name of the person they think may be the bagman. But they need a witness, who may or may not actually exist, to come forward to provide actual proof of said activity.
So, basically, they don't have dick. A person of interest.

Not only that, but they've conveniently heard and not heard what they want to. Sheridan made it crystal clear why he wouldn't reveal the bagman but people hear what they want to hear. He clearly stated that he was told the name of the alleged bagman AND that he would be comfortable in being able to prove what he is saying is the truth if he was sued. The problem is that he would have to reveal his source(s) if he was sued and that would likely jeopardize the sources job and livelihood. He would also forever lose his sources which for some reason seem very important to him and his ego.
People can argue whether or not his sources are correct but I have no doubt the guy is telling the truth about what he knows. The problem AGAIN is that revealing that info would bring a suit that would out his source and probably cost them their job.
For some reason, that fact has been conveniently lost in the shuffle. He is literally on tape from late July saying he would probably have a name in 2 or 3 weeks but he didn't know if he would reveal it the next time he was on.
