Daniels as “led” LSU to a season that they would consider a disappointment

Because of the defense, but you knew that already.

Haha I love when people act like defense and offense are completely different entities. Just admitting they know nothing about playing team football and how overall strategy works with the symbiotic relationship between both sides of the ball.

Also lead a top 5 preseason team to a wholly disappointing year.

2 things:

First, the Heisman is an INDIVIDUAL award, not a freaking team award. You can't penalize a guy for part of the team that he has nothing to do with. That is STUPID!

Second, LSU's roster was so depleted 2 years ago that we knew it would be 2-3 years of a rebuild. Never in our right mind did we expect BK to come in and take such a mess and win 10 games and the SEC West in year 1. Many of those guys left to the draft last year. So, we had to rebuild again this year, especially on defense. Also, JD didn't push the ball downfield at all last year. He tucked and ran. He worked hard on his game and made the greatest improvement of any QB in America. Nix and Penix have been talked about all year. JD5 shocked us all this year, and mostly because he has been so consistent. Nobody should have touched Joe Burrow's numbers, but he did. It's not his fault his defense sucked.

An example is this: JD5's final game was against aTm (a top 10 defense), and his numbers were better than Nix's numbers tonight against UW's 93rd ranked defense. Compare the athlete's as it should be, not their teams.

He will be the better QB. I am so hyped for this kid. Will probably be a secondary fan of whoever drafts him

Have no issue with Daniels winning.

He single-handedly took a 4-8 team to 9-3.

Sure, he lost to an incredibly overrated FSU, and in doing so, possibly forced the entire country to have to endure a useless playoff game where FSU gets absolutely destroyed.

But I’m sure, he’s great. Just fricking great.

You mean saved a 4-8/5-7 type team from their 100+ ranked Defense, and made them a 9 gm winner as of now/possible 10 game winner..you maroon!

Please don't bet you fricking SquarePants MFer!

He is a great individual talent. But that’s not what the Heisman is supposed to award.

It would be unprecedented for such a loser to get the trophy. He loses when it matters ...
