Honestly, that falls squarely on Enos' shoulders. His play calling was atrocious.
He knew UF was basically blitzing on every play, but he never really called any short slant routes or screens.
He basically set that kid up for failure.

What a piece of shite coach. Damn glad he left Alabama in the middle of the night without telling anyone.

Wow that's pretty rough...most plays receivers are open in one way or another, but to toss a true first year starting freshman under the bus when he is facing a defensive line in the back field literally every single down is pretty brutal.

Wow. Austin Allen had some pretty shitty games in 2017 and I never remember Enos going off like that

Hey Enos! Your playcalling and O-line suck arse. What a douche to throw a freshman under the bus in his first start.
Thats how I saw it. O-Line was awful. What was this dam kid supposed to do?

Didn’t realize that. Thanks

That's rough. It reminds me of our issue last year. It's a chicken and the egg argument: the OL was terrible and it made the QB play poorly but the QB at some point has to make the plays when they can be made.
I thought considering the pressure that the young QB faced, he wasn't as bad as that article reflects.

I wonder what he would have said had he coached Franks.

What the frick?! Eleven sacks. ELEVEN. Dude should be getting the kid treatment for his probable PTSD, not criticizing his performance. You’ll never convince me that’s coaching. What a dickhead.
The OL sucked for sure, but he held on to the ball way too long several times

I get the feeling this dude wanted to "show out" in his first game since he didn't take the obvious job at Alabama. A lot of eyes on him, and they laid an egg, but the freshman QB didn't. He played well when he had time, but they gave up like 10 sacks. Pretty shitty to lay this on a first time starting freshman. What a douche.

Sometimes I wish CDM had a little more of this with Franks.

Enos is a shite wad and miamuh will never do all that well against better programs with his attitude. Fortunately the canes schedule the rest of the season is full of pattycakes and only school missing is sisters of the poor who were already booked up.
Williams had Gators in his face all night and did well for first time starter imo. He was pretty accurate most throws and his OC shite on him.

Obviously the kid held on to the ball to long a few times but he also made some really good throws. He did fumble 4 times I think though which is rough but a QB shouldn't be on the ground as much as he was that was just abuse

Damn, I like that guy.

Florida adjusted extremely well on D. Once they saw the deer-in-the-headlight look from the guy, it was over from a defensive standpoint. The dude was horrible, especially in the second half.

“I don’t see Jarren as he is. I see him how he can be.”
If Williams isn’t a snowflake emotional baby like Franks, Enos will make this kid a fantastic QB. So he gives some tough love. He didn’t throw him under the bus. He said there were opportunities he expected Williams to capitalize on based on what he saw in practice.
Williams will be a heisman contender his junior year IF Miami can shore up their immature OL. And he’ll be thanking Enos for pushing him to be the best, even when the deck (OL) was stacked against him.

So I finally went back and watched the first half that I missed on Saturday (I was honestly curious how Florida scored) and Miami started the game with some great calls getting it out of the QB's hands. Didn't seem like they had an answer when Florida made the adjustment to that though.

I agree. I didn’t think jarren had as bad of a game as a first time starter should have, especially with that putrid OLine. I felt bad for the kid really.
