"While the Pac-10 only has three teams in bowl games, USC is on probation and every team plays nine conference games, one more than the SEC, so its tougher to survive."

Quote of the young year, for sure.

USC has actually never won a BCS title, and their championship in 2003 was mythical, and only served to quiet Pete Carroll's bitching.

i love that if the SEC doesnt get its 7th BCS title, and only has 6 to the Pac10s 2, if Oregon wins, means the Pac10 is better..

and that since the Pac10 wasnt good enough to get to the title game in all the years the SEC won it, it takes away from those titles..

This was especially true in 2003, when Louisiana State and USC shared the championship. I attended the final game for both teams that year, and, like the oddsmakers, I would have rated USC at least a touchdown favorite if they had met for the title. OK, I'm just being nice. The Trojans would have stomped them.

Now I've got to pull for Auburn.

If Oregon wins, it is only 1. USC's only title was vacated.

one thing that i have always thought was interesting was how the west coast has one power conference and the east coast has three (SEC is pretty much east coast with exception of arkansas and LSU). that explains why most of the competitive non AQ teams are from the west coast (Boise st, Utah, etc) they dont have to split up the talent pool as much. yes i realize all power programs recruit nationally, but most rosters are made up of players from their region

Cheers for giving Auburn that much more motivation. Time for the SEC to rally, even though most fans want to see us lose, and just absolutely skull frick the shite out of these little duckies!

This arse clown is just trying to sell print. He contradicts himself talking about how weak the SEC and how the PAC 10 dominates at quarterback. BFD! Cam has the best passing efficiency this year in the history of the ncaa. . So.... Kind of a stupid point to make if you're trying to win an argument. As for the 4-5 in bowls games well again BFD. Kentucky went to a bowl game and was 2-6 in the SEC so its hard to really make a point about bowl records other than to say there's too many weak teams going to bowls. East was weak this year. The west on the other hand was dominate as ever. Bama, Miss st
and Lsu all throttled their opponents. I fully expect AU to destroy the ducks. I hope I'm wrong but my brain-not my heart- is speaking loud and clear and this will be a repeat of the SEC championship game. It will be over well before the end of the fourth quarter.

"Only reason you have 2 in the top 4 is because there were only 2 teams in the Pac 10 capable of beating each other."

how many PAC 10 teams even went to bowls that anyone has heard of besides oregon & stanford? there are 10 SEC teams in bowls....

The funny thing is that the SEC fans pulling against Auburn expect respect from the rest of the country for rooting for Oregon.

i hope he's right for my own selfish reasons... but he's gonna look like a dumb fricker to his actual listening audience when the game is over...

he'll lose credibility when the SEC reigns superior... again.
