The cotton district is like a half mile from the stadium

Yeah, I wasn’t made aware of that last time I went. I will go on my return trip.

It’s satire, ULL. He does this for nearly every team we play, time to grow some stones.

They’re the worst man welcome to our world. This is a small taste of the shite LSU fans deal with from these chodes.

MSU? Msu is not talking, some dude on the net did. I've never even heard of the guy. So one clown writes something stupid and now all of MSU is trash talking? Get a life or at least a brain.

Clearly doesn't take much effort to troll the residents of Lafayette.

The original MSU writer just said that his team (the bulldogs) don’t need to play AT sunbelt schools such as south Alabama and Troy. He didn’t say they’re too good to play them in Starkville or other SEC stadiums.
ULL writer took that soooo personal and out of context lmao

You think this did it? Try telling them their community is inferior to other in La such as Baton Rouge or Monroe. That lights a fire under their arse

I have degrees from State and LSU. I had just as much fun during my college years in Starkville as I did Baton Rouge.
80% of the crap you see on Internet message boards are from people who have never been to Starkville. Most of the rest haven't been in 20 years and "swore they would never go back."
Its a small town. The Cotton District is a great college bar area, although.it is small. Benefits is that it is a 10 minute walk from campus.
The Cotton District Bar Area, Starkville
Stadium has been upgraded significantly over the past two years. Capacity is around 63k - which is all the smallest state in the SEC needs.
You can make a hell of a weekend if you book a room at the Golden Moon, hit the casino, bet on sports, play Dancing Rabbit, hit the Junction for tailgating or the Tyler or Veranda for a meal, catch the game, hit the Cotton District, go back to the Moon, collect your winnings, and head back after brunch at Phillip Ms on Sunday.

Are there hotels in Starkville itself?
Posted on 9/16/18 at 2:21 pm to DeafJam73
Yeah but for some reason they’re extremely expensive.
ETA: I looked online and it says ~$100 which isn’t bad, but I remember them being twice that on game weekends a few years ago. I usually stay with family when I go.

I’ve definitely heard of the cotton district. Seems like Starkville and MSU in general are doing as much as they can to improve the experience there. I don’t live under a rock I know what’s going on. I need to hear honest feedback from MSU people to believe it. Of course fans of other teams will shite on it.

There was talk of changing the open container laws in the Cotton District, which would make it 100x better, but I don’t know how far that’s gotten.

I have seriously never heard of this Gil fella.

Weird response. I , an Auburn fan from Birmingham, was really going to lose sleep about some obscure MSUjr and ULL writers opinions over each others shitty towns Its just funny that the State guy even made the first article at all like Starkville isn't the worst college town this side of Pullman, WA

Yes. But not many. Your general Hilton, Hampton, LaQuintas - but they are booked months in advance for home weekend and there are two night minimums with jacked up prices. There is a nice little historic hotel that was renovated by Gordon Ramsey, but it only has 30 rooms.

If I were going for a game I’d get an Airbnb. I’m sure there’s those available
