Former Oregon OC Lubick hired as WR coach. Hate these upgrades.

What an overrated position that needs coaching. Most of these players get there because they are naturally gifted receivers. Most of these coaches make them worse by overcoaching.

Yeah that was pretty damned stupid but they are paying Sumlin like $5 million a year so I guess coaching is overall just a theory to them anyway.

I mean you could apply that logic to most positions when talking about college.

"You can't coach speed"

And yet there are track coaches that teach technique and make them faster

No, not all. Quarterback and OL require a lot of coaching. Running backs mostly for knowing HOW to hit the holes. The WR is basic distance and positioning, then let the natural ability take over.

We have seen many QBs succeed in college purely because of their athleticism. If we are talking about the NFL than I would agree with you.

Right and I would argue that most either have it or don't. I think some are obviously more gifted than others in that regard.

Dline is a good example as well. How many have we seen dominate college purely because of their size and strength. Most will have to develop some technique if they are going to have the same type of success in the NFL.

Speaking of overpaying, isn't Mcgriff making 1 mill a year?

It true... Can't give it to the croots, so we give it to the DC. He gives it to his aunt. She gives it to her neighbor's nephew. Neighbor's nephew gives it to his friend's dad. Friend's dad hires croot to mow the lawn for $20,000.
