Manziel has NFL talent? I haven't seen it.

If Dak had aTm's Oline he would've at least won the West.

JFF won the Heisman on a down year and beat Bama. Other than that nothing comes to mind. He's #3 of the 4 best dual threats to get drafted from the SEC, behind Cam and Tebow.
Dak will have a much more successful NFL career than that loser.

Dak will be nothing more than a backup project that gets abandoned when his rookie contract runs out because no team wants to waste even the veteran minimum on a guy they know has no future.

Yeah that's not really true.

Statistically he is. The only two quarterbacks that had more yards in one season were Johnny Manziel and Chad Kelly.

Neither of whom are top 5 QBs in SEC History. Dak has an argument-- because MSU is so bad historically you can't judge him against the normal sure top 5 guys like Tebow.

Because State is garbage.

Prescott was a really good college QB, but Manziel was a game changer. Time will tell with the NFL. I don't think talent is Manziel's issue though.

Dak was a great player and seems like a solid young man.

Good luck to him

63 QBs have been drafted in the 4th round or later in the past decade. The list is above you. Name one of those 63 that's done anything worthwhile.

And not a single one was named Dak Prescott. You can throw history as someone as long as you want, but you know just as much as everyone else when it comes to his potential production in the NFL.

As a Cowboys fan, this feels like a wasted pick. Wish we went defense.

Did you watch last season at all?

I can't use historical trends to say what's likely to happen in order to assess risk vs reward? It's overwhelmingly likely that it was a wasted pick and the Cowboys could have gotten some legitimate defensive depth instead. Sorry if that offends you.

I did. And many seasons before that. If Romo is hurt, Dak Prescott isn't going to save the season. It was a wasted pick.

Dak has more talent than you're aware of.

He scorched us. Seems like a good guy, too. Hope he has a long career. I could even see myself pulling for Dallas if he played there. Wait, nah...eff the Cowgirls.

We wasted a 4th Round pick on former Aggie great, Stephen McGee, to fill the role of "backup QB to Romo" with the same results I am predicting here. I didn't like the McGee pick then and I don't like the Prescott pick now.

Well... I wouldn't, on any planet, compare Stephen McGee and Dak Prescott. That's just a big ole troll.

Dak is a wasted pick because he lacks the talent of Manziel.

He has so much talent that the Cowboys rated Conner Cook and Paxton Lynch ahead of him. None of the other 31 teams thought he was any better.
