I have a hard time believing he is the Heisman frontrunner. He barely completed 50 percent of his passes with 2 interceptions against Auburn

He also ran for 121 and two TDs. Did you forget that? His numbers are stacking up pretty well compared to other recent dual threat QB in the Heisman race. If they keep winning and he keeps a similar pace, he will have a great chance to win it.

Dak is definitely most dangerous with his legs. He has gotten better as a passer, but still has a way to go in that area.

Plus with Gurley out, he really doesn't have much quality competition at the moment for Heisman. He will rack up big numbers the next 3 weeks. As long as the stats look good and he wins, he will win it

Do you remember a guy named Cam Newton? Dak has crushed everyone of Cams Heisman stats except for rushing.

Against a schedule nowhere close to some of those other Heisman winners faced. Cam faced 8 teams that won 9 games or more during his Heisman season. Dak wont come close to playing that many quality teams

Yes.

Did you know, the longest recorded flight of a chicken was 13 seconds.

See? We're both full of irrelevant facts today.

Prescott has a better throwing motion than Vince Young, and about 6 times his wonderlic score. Young went 2nd overall.

On the other hand, come back and hang around a good QB coach such as Mullen who would put way more time into developing him. Hopefully become a better passer, and whether he increases his draft stock significantly, he could greatly increase his actual chances of starting the NFL.

Serious question: Does Coach Mullen take an active role in developing QB mechanics, or is that something that he delegates to MSU's QB coach?

If only we could be in the SEC East or The Big Ten, you know, somewhere the schedule is a little more difficult.

Yes, he's very hands on with mechanics. Spends an abnormal amount of time with QB's as opposed to other HC's.

I think it's just his niche. It's in his blood. He takes pride in developing QB's as opposed to other positions, because he's damn good at it.

1st or 2nd round definitely go but it can be dangerous to leave if projected in the 3rd. Too many have been been projected high only to fall to the lower rounds, some completely out of the draft and into FA status. For whatever reason this tends to happen to those leaving early more than it does to seniors -- some have said the NFL is sending a message there and that for the most part they want players to be as physically mature as possible and a senior year does wonders.

Can't blame him either way but I've seen too many projected 3rd rounders fall off the map come draft day recently.

We've never yet had a guy leave under Mullen without a first round draft grade... We've had 4 or 5 come back with 2nd-4th round grades(Banks, McKinney, Sherrod, Jackson). Fletcher Cox is the only we've had leave early, and he was a first round lock...

Dak's stock will go down in a combine setting IMO. He's never been a great practice player. He's come a long arse way in the past 12 months as a passer -- but he's got a ways to go before he's an early round NFL guy.

I don't care what the scouts say, this kid can flat out ball. I'd love to have him as the Saint's future QB.
