Dabo not dismissing a coach for calling a player a racial slur is unconscionable. This needs to be looked into, almost hard to believe. I hope this did not occur.

I want you all to watch the Clemson spin machine at work.
Tuttle is a legacy Clemson player. His father is a legend. Suddenly though, they have no idea who he is and is probably a USC player.
Own it? Never. Deny till you die.

There has been a heated debate at Clemson University playing out over whether the name of an iconic building, Tillman Hall, should be changed because its namesake, Benjamin Tillman, was a former South Carolina governor (1890-94) who was a vicious racist.

Tillman, instrumental in the founding of Clemson, frequently said publicly, and while he was a state senator, that blacks should be exterminated if they did not agree to domination by whites.

Clemson wanted a university to be founded on his land because he was upset that UofSC let in black people during Reconstruction. Clemson (and Tillman) wanted a new university that wouldn't be "meddled" with.

Well, was it with an -er or an -a ending?
Apparently it makes a big difference. Unless you're white: then you can't use either. If you're black you can use both with no repercussions.
Jesus this country has gone retarded with what's allowed and from who.
Here's a novel idea: let's apply the standard evenly regardless of skin color. If it's offensive when a white person says it, it's offensive when a black person says it.

Seems like if it's true, more players should be able to confirm it.

I worked as a part time Longshoreman when I was in college. A lot of times I was the only white person on the work gang. If I had a dollar for every time I heard the "N" word used by blacks I would be rich.
If you find a word is so disgusting then why in the hell would you use it in reference to a fellow black person? I find the concept that it is alright to be used by a black person, but not white, hypocritical and racist.

You mean the guy who thought slavery was the best
thing that could happen to slaves and his house,
the John C. Calhoun Mansion on the Clemson campus and that plantation's land on which Clemson now sits ?

I’m not black but I find it hard to believe either would be acceptable for a white coach to say to a black player.

What about a black coach to a black player?
Therein lies my point: it's either ok or it isn't, irrespective of skin color.

I doubt this would be making the news if a black coach called him it.
I also have a hard time seeing a black coach actually using the word at a practice, especially at a major college program.
