It really did. It's not going back to what we hold as fond memories and I think it's difficult to let that go. I think about this; it's a form of grieving, I guess. Grieving the loss of players for the long haul. That the Auburn, Bo Jackson's, the Notre Dame, Joe Montana's, the Oklahoma State's, Barry Sander's that the tradition of an athlete hailing and representing a sole university is probably dead. Everyone is a paid mercenary now and it's a gut shot or several gut shots.
