Do we need to write down the record number of defensive players that left for the draft the prior 2 years?

Is Les not responsible for fielding an entire team?
If even half the defensive juniors from the 2012 team had come back, we would have won the national title in 2013

Beckham or Odell could have played defense... Wasn't a big need for both of them on offense.. Would have been defensive beasts too.
This is why no one takes you seriously

It's because Les Miles is not a good coach.

So Les isn't responsible for developing and recruiting depth?
Its CFB, everyone has players leave they have to replace every year.

Les is a Michigan man and we all know where CC went to school. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone to hear him taking shots at a rival. If Les hears about this you can bet your arse he'll be firing right back real soon though.

All the LSU fans saying defense is the reason they didn't win more in 2013 must have missed Auburn winning the conference championship and making it to the national championship that year with a defense that was not very good

Nobody, and I do mean nobody, loses underclassmen at a rate we do.

The defense lost 3 games.
Your vaunted offense sputtered in Oxford in 2013 - 388 total yards and 3 turnovers.
Jeremy Hill had 64 yards on 16 carries, for the record.
All this was against an Ole Miss defense with five starters either injured or suspended.
Some offense

LSU has had 29 players leave for the NFL since 2011, Arkansas has ~30 players total in the league
Our depth is getting drafted also

You had the luckiest team in history. Congrats on those 2 gifts you got in the UGA and Bama games.

If only we got a lucky Hail Mary and a miracle FG return

If you take over a national championship caliber team you're going to win a few games starting off.
When he has to recruit he's own players his production has gone down.

Scored 24 points despite Mett having an off game and the running game couldnt get going.
The defense was a disaster.
