To my knowledge, only Old College (the oldest building on campus) is modeled after a Yale building. It’s possible that New College was as well and that Norh campus followed a similar quadrangle pattern but the vast majority of the university and the grounds are completely unique as the campus grew up with the City of Athens which was founded as a companion to the school

Pretty much every college in the country share colors, mascots, fight songs etc with another school.
Shoot, South Carolina shares their colors and mascot with Jacksonville State University. I suspect South Carolina had theirs first, but nevertheless the OP does not make a case for what came first, but simply that they are shared with other schools, therefore are not original.
