I doubt the SEC expands unless another conference does first
Teams like A&M, OU, and Texas are about the only ones that would make sense considering IMO... because you'd have to split additional revenue more ways (assuming you can renegotiate upwards at all with the networks - maybe you can't)

Laughable.. We won't be leaving as much as most of the aggies would love to. The only way it would happen is if the big12-2 did implode, and it would be because of someone sniping one of the north teams(kansas/kstate combo to big east or something).
ESPN and other powers that be do not want 16 team super conferences. It would effectively force a playoff without a playoff system. The BCS and Bowls don't want this. The lesser conferences don't want it either as they'd be left out of the big picture.

The number would undoubtedly go up. Houston and Dallas are both top 10 TV markets in a football hotbed. Both cities are as large as Atlanta in terms of total TV sets. Add the Austin/San Antonio tv's and you have a 3rd major market.
Aggieland is sitting in between all 3 markets geographically. We have around 50k students and something like 300k active former students.
If ESPN is willing to give texas all that cash for tv deal, I don't see how ESPN would pass up on cashing in on the state of texas as a big increase in viewership for the SEC compared to some of the other schools cities.
Slive has made it clear he wants into the texas tv market. If he can't get texas to go, the next best thing will do.
If things start falling apart, I have no doubt we will go. The real question is who the second team if OU sticks with the whorns.
Would Slive and company add 3 teams back east if he can't get two from here? Would FSU or Miami even consider leaving the relative ease of the ACC to join the meat grinder that would be the SEC East?
