let's not forget another such instance. It was right around this week in 1985 that Florida football achieved it's FIRST EVER #1 ranking. Back in those days you didn't know the polls until like Monday or Tuesday. A few days later they would lose by 3 touchdowns to heavy underdog UGA.

You are spot on my friend....we should never forget that GLORIOUS event. Unless memory fails Baja Georgia or Chattahoochee Delta VoTech, just barely passed the 50 yard line in that game LOL...

Tennessee Football killed Kenny Rogers at halftime. Nobody could hear him, and then nobody ever heard from him again, he knew when to fold em, and knew when to run.

I sincerely hope the Georgia football team takes Missouri as lightly as the posters here. You aren’t playing Tennessee Saturday.

Neyland is much much better than what you call that stadium down in Ga

No you will never take our water or steal any of our land.

Ga is so jealous of our beautiful state that you want to steal a slice of it

No you can’t have either

Go contact Stacey Abrams and complain

Were I a Mizery fan I would hope for the same thing so the arse whupping that Mizery is about to suffer would be 10 points or so instead of whatever the frick number UGA decides it likes....

Call me crazy, but I'm going out on a limb and guessing that "we", the posters on SEC Rant, aren't stepping on the field against anyone on Saturday.

It was a year ago tonight Tennessee began its 96 hour reign as Number 1.

Congrats, I guess?

Mississippi State lasted longer as #1 at the top of the first playoff rankings in 2014.

I personally don't see it happening but if the unthinkable happens Saturday and Missouri somehow pulls off the upset in Athens this Saturday then Tennessee still controls its own destiny to get to Atlanta

Why are you Georgia guys so preoccupied with the Vols? It would seem you could just enjoy your titles without constantly dumping on such an inferior program - but no! Rent free!
