Perhaps. But one thing he DOESN'T do is hook up his unqualified friends with jobs on his coaching staff. As long as Malveto is at LSU, we will not be an obstacle to Bama, or Florida and Georgia for that matter.

He won't go undefeated next year. But Mike Shula's recruiting was easily a step behind the "Big 3" in the SEC. Over time, he is going to recruit as well as anyone in the league and they will be a perennial contender, provided he stays.

Call me a Saban lover, I don't care. Everything I just said is true and has been proven this season.

no.

How many top 15 teams did LSU beat last year according to FINAL rankings?
OSU (dominated), V.Tech (dominated), TN (with 2nd string qb entire game), UF (hardest hitting game in college football), AU (well...AU).

Wow, we beat 5 teams that ended up in the top 15. That's good any year.

Edit: another way of saying it. Take the final AP and/or BCS top 15. Now...take a moment to realize that LSU beat 1/3rd of them. Wow is an understatement.

I appologize if you think i'm taking a shot at bama. I'm taking a shot at the ignorant arguements made for your coach and against ours.

I don't think it was a question which conference was the best conference last year. This year i think it's more than debatable.

The n.c. is more luck than good. However, you have to be good.

It's determined on a "perception" basis. It's not objective to get in the game. Should o.s.u. been in the game because of only 1 loss? that's why they were in. Should Au have been left out because Oklahoma was ranked 2nd at the beginning of the year in 2004? should O.U. have been in, in 2003 over u.s.c.? Should nebraska have played miami instead of Oregon? every year it's debatable.

Pure ignorance. Saban offered applewhite a o.c. job. Not miles. Result, bama struggled offensively as result. So bad that they lost to their last five games including u.l.m.

Miles hasn't lost to u.l.m. or u.a.b. That was saban. You can say he came close to troy. So did saban in 2004. Fact is, he didn't lose to them.

Calling UGA average is retarded, end of story.

Applewhite is gone and Alabama is undefeated. Les Miles will not fire Mallory and Peveto and it will cost us at least three games in what should be a National Championship caliber season. That is the difference.

YES. don't let bama fans fool you, this year they'll have faced the worst tenn team in recent memory, the worst LSU team in recent memory, the worst AU team in recent memory, and the worst ARKY team in recent memory. they're a really good team, but i doubt they're significantly better than the 2 loss bama team in 05

retarded? Ok, ohio st was over rated last year with one loss. However, Georgia is not average because they have 2 losses.

l.s.u. is one dropped pass away from being 8-2 and i hardly think they are more than average this year.

p.s. utah and boise have zero losses. Are they the two best teams in the country? should they be 1 and 2? are they great because of the lack of L's?

You don't understand what average is. LSU and UGA aren't average. Vandy is average.

ok, your right. I didn't realize you knew what miles is going to do and how many games we are going win or lose in the future.

My bad. Your opinion out weighs my fact.

Well, outside of Georgia, they really haven't played anybody worth a shite. But they will in Atlanta.

Saban is good for 3, 4 or 5 losses in 9 out of 10 seasons. He has proved that.

Saban has about the 17th best winning percentage among college coaches. That is good, not elite.

Otherwise - each year, BAMA has a back-end loaded schedule, with Tenn in late Oct and LSU and Auburn in Nov (this year, they caught a tough west team in UGA early in the year, so give em credit for beating UGA soundly). As such, the BAMA tradition combined with a typically softball schedule allows them to get to a really good record and in the top 12 on a typical year. Then the hard part of the schedule occurs, and they drop 2 to one of the TENN/LSU/BARNER trio, and fall back to reality.

This year, TENN, LSU and the BArners are all down, so now that they have passed the UGA test, they will waltz into ATL....and get a real test in FLA.

It will be fun to watch unfold.

Georgia's a good team, they'll prove it against GaTech and in the Cap 1 Bowl.
