Unoriginal AU fan stole the name from Nebraska and said we smell like corndogs. It is so unoriginal its funny.

There are plenty of anecdotal stories about how it started, most involve Nebraska and/or Auburn.
It stuck because it's funny how much it bothers some LSU fans.

I am positive it doesn't bother most every LSU fan. LSU has shirts with corndogs, mostly out of poking fun of people who try to use it as a slur. I think some people are bothered by its lack of sense. For a while I was in that boat. Then I realized the people who use it are similar to a 4 year old calling someone a booty face or ketchup bottle, and it became funny to me.

what was so pathetic about the corndog jokes is everytime a gump or aubbie used them they did nothing more than show their own ignorance and uneducated persona. They are too dense to realize they are a laughing stock for even using that term and basically insulting themselves. oh the irony!

For anyone who has seen Dave Chappelle's "Killing Them Softly" stand up routine, this thread makes me think LSU fans as the black guy eating the chicken.
