OSHA has been on site all day.
Arkansas fans have been beyond odd in this thread.

OSHA is pretty serious after stuff like this happens
They don't play

Extremely precarious task apprantly tearing out that part of stadium.

Nor should they "play."
Everyone wants to know what happened--most certainly the demolition company/this young man's co-workers.

There were two deaths on a Fayetteville apartment site this summer and they turned over every rock at the site. They will get to the bottom of this ASAP
They are almost as meticulous as the NTSB

It won't be hard.
Video cameras, many workers/witnesses, crews, etc....
I've already read several accounts of what multiple folks have said transpired.
It's very likely they already know exactly what happened.

I am talking a little more about who is going to shoulder the blame than the actual event
Posted on 12/3/13 at 6:47 pm to Porker Face
I'm sure it will be apparent, based on what actually happened.
Blame is an automatic reaction--and fault will be found.
As for now, it's brutal to think that a young guy lost his life on the project.

harness. There is going to be a huge investigation into this and someone is going to get into some big trouble.

I'm not so confident. There usually seems to be a lot of finger pointing and such after something like this. Waters get muddy in a hurry
You're right it is automatic. Someone will be blamed, right or wrong.

I agree. A damn shame

The rumor I've heard is that they were demolishing the ramp up high, higher than could be reached from equipment on the ground. The young man was in a skid steer breaking the ramp walls, and he drove over the edge. At least, that's the rumor. It may have been simple driver error in a situation in which there are no perfectly effective safety protocols, or it may have been a failure of follow proper safety protocols. I have no idea.
Edit: Actually, latest rumor is not that he drove over the edge while operating the skid steer, but that the part of the ramp he was on gave way while he was demolishing it. The kind of work that has to be done in this case (the partial demo of a high ramp that can't be reached by equipment on the ground) is very dangerous stuff. This is very sad.

there is video but I doubt anyone but A&M has it, they have the feeds on an hour delay on kylefield.com just so something like this doesn't get shown to the public

This is a shame that a young man has died.
Last night 5 University of Texas students were arrested for trespassing on the construction site.
It is fortunate none of them were injured as construction sites are inherently dangerous.

Having worked in construction all my life I understand that these things happen. It's a shame but it's a fact. Thoughts and prayers to this young man's family.
