Fwiw, I don't see any problems with Missouri's stadium. Tradition is tradition and I respect Missouri's as much as I do LSU's, and everyone else's in the SEC. Personally, I like the rock "M".
I'd rather have that than those f'n bleachers that V-H has at Ole Miss. The upgrades to the stadium look nice...will make a big difference...

Mizzou doesn't have stadiums like most places that are built up as structures from ground level. Our stadium is actually built down into the land
So is UGA's. Except ours is built into a natural valley, not a rock quarry, and the field rests on top of a creek for ideal irrigation and drainage

Missouri entered the conference with a larger stadium than Ole Miss...and you're a charter member.

Dude, they are just moving some dirt around, not like it is really a renovation or expansion. Rocks look like poo, at least make it where people can sit there, like Ruston High School used to have.

Georgia's stadium is nice. I haven't been to a game there, but my cousins in Athens gave me the tour when I visited.
They chose the old quarry at Mizzou because it was a natural place to build a stadium. And they had grass for years. But once they build the south end-zone structure, it interfered with the drainage. It's limestone, I think, and there's just not a good way for natural grass to grow at field level. The hill is a different story.

Vaught Hemmingway has those crappy metal erector set bleachers in one end zone where two people sit in one seat. If I was an Ole Miss fan, I wouldn't be talking shite to anyone...

Not sure what this is...
I'm looking forward to seeing all the SEC stadiums over the next few years. It sounds like each one has something cool and unique about it.

The 600 level of Sanford Stadium, where we stick all the visiting fans.
The stadium is really nice, we just don't go out of our way to see that visiting fans are very comfortable

We made sure the UGA fans peppered throughout weren't very comfortable in their own stadium.
And I noticed it probably wasn't the best idea to have the away section have the same exit as a large portion of the student section.

Kentucky, MSU, OM, and Vandy...
UK just started a $110 mil renovation of Commonwealth Stadium. It should be SEC grade when finished. Hopefully Mark Stoops will field an SEC grade football team, too. We'll see.

The boxes on the west side are being renovated and expanded for this season. The size of the grass hill has shrunk. That hill, and the rock M are traditions dating back over 100 years at Mizzou, as important there as the hedges in Georgia. It may not be your personal taste, but it's important here.
The rock M is important to many people. Personally I can live with or without it. I could be dead wrong about this and I'm no engineer so someone feel free to tell me I'm way off base, but I have a feeling they did the work on the hill so that some day in the distant future, it will be an easier renovation to replace the hill with seating that blends into the existing seating. In other words, it was kind of like prep work for the day that it comes, though I do imagine that will be one of the last steps in the process.

After the way we rolled out the red carpet to y'all last year, I hope I'm treated well if I can make it!

Just a heads up for people commenting, I would think in our next expansion that seats will be built into the hill or on the hill around the Rock M. It would be cool if it was possible to build them into the hill.

That sounds disturbing.
And WGDawg will take care of me if I'm able to get there for a game!

It's not untrue. I've seen Dawg fans bark at young children. It's one of those "every fanbase has it's idiots" things though

Yep. Every fanbase has them, for sure.
