Honest Question
Does Bennet pitch Wednesday?
If not then certainly Thursday (if necessary) ?

I got Ole Miss and Oklahoma in the finals.

All I know is this OU team just has the it factor. Nothing special or flashy. But geez you can’t get them out at the plate and they put enough pressure on the other teams defense to offset their own defense. Good team. Gonna be tough for anyone to beat them twice.

Being up 2-0 in Omaha, is a fantastic spot to be in, but can be a trap too. Still don’t know how we were able to go through the losers bracket in 2017, and beat Oregon State twice, after getting killed by them the first time we played. Baseball is a weird sport, but the Sooners are looking really good right now.

We have been very fortunate that our middle relief has not really had to do much so far. If we can keep our starters in there through six or seven then I think we have a great shot to win it all. But if one of them gets bounced after three or four then chalk it up as a loss. Either way, it's just fun to have something to watch and root for right now.

I had a good feeling before the CWS started that Oklahoma is going to win it all.

The pitching and especially Cade Horton (yesterdays pitcher) are the difference. Middle relief is bad so getting longer starter innings is key. HC being a pitching coach background helps and he paced his starters all season pulling them early often which lost us games but is now paying off.
Cade Horton:
Horton was named the 2019 Gatorade Oklahoma Baseball Player of the Year and rated as the No. 2 player in Oklahoma by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
He didn’t play in senior high school year 2020 because of Covid canx. He was injured right before 21 season at OU and had Tommy John surgery. So 2 years with no baseball. He is just now coming into his own.
On May 21, Cade Horton allowed 8 ER vs. Texas Tech. his ERA was 7.94
Since then:
Big 12 title game vs. Texas:
5.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 9 K
Regional vs. Florida:
6.1 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 8 K
Super-regional vs. Virginia Tech:
6.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 9 K
Omaha vs ND:
6.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 11 K
