Historically, Mizzou has always sat uncomfortably beneath the big dogs in the conference, but slightly above the rest. Historic underachievers, sure. But folks who thought we would be a doormat weren't being completely fair. In the Big Eight, Mizzou was dominated by Oklahoma and Nebraska, but it held a winning record against the other five schools (Kansas, Kansas State, Colorado, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State). Same story once the Texas schools joined the Big Eight to form the Big 12: Texas beat the hell out of us, A&M is a close series, and Mizzou dominates Texas Tech and Baylor.
Not surprisingly, it's been the same story in the SEC: Mizzou has a winning record against the "Little Six" other than Kentucky (plus a 7-6 lead against Florida), a losing record against the others (and surprisingly is 5-9 against Kentucky all-time), and has been dominated by Georgia and Alabama.
Edit: Mizzou is tied with Tennessee (6-6) and LSU (2-2 but 1-2 since we joined the SEC).

Arkansas entered the worst period in our football program’s history after 2011.
Missouri has either beaten really bad Arkansas teams or won close games against us.
Look at who our coaches have been during Missouri’s SEC tenure- John L Smith as interim, Bielema, Chad fricking Morris, and now Pittman.
Meanwhile, Missouri has had Pinkel, Odom, and Dinky. All solid coaches for them while they got to play in the East and a down in the shitter Arkansas program.
Arkansas entered the worst period in our football program’s history after 2011.
Missouri has either beaten really bad Arkansas teams or won close games against us.
Look at who our coaches have been during Missouri’s SEC tenure- John L Smith as interim, Bielema, Chad fricking Morris, and now Pittman.
Meanwhile, Missouri has had Pinkel, Odom, and Dinky. All solid coaches for them while they got to play in the East and a down in the shitter Arkansas program.
