Did Cam get arrested for another laptop that we don't know about??
I've had multiple speeding tickets too. Do I have a criminal pattern??
Please explain to me the pattern you are talking about.. So far all I got was he stole a laptop, got a bunch of speeding tickets and may or may not have cheated on a test.
That sounds like a person who's life spun out of control(I've been there before), but does not provide proof of a repeated criminal behavior like you are claiming.. If I am missing a lot more laptop thefts, please point them out.

No, that is the point. Whoever leaked that information committed a FEDERAL CRIME. Maybe you understand that? It should have never been reported by anyone, bc it was confidential information.
It certainly is a crime. There's no point to argue with that.

No, I'm not. Also, btw, my reading comprehending skills are just fine. Yours suck though.
right.....

You're going to tell me that a freshman or sophmore in College are adults? Your brain is not fully formed until you are about 24 or 25. So yes, he was a kid and not an adult.
That's exactly what I did tell you.

It just kills me when people say "he made multiple mistakes". He was a kid, and kids do stupid things all the time.
I disagree with that.
Most kids don't end up with felony charges.
Most kids don't rack up thousands in traffic tickets in a year.
Most kids don't end up in academic and pay for play scandals.
I know kids do stupid things but I really hope my kid makes up for it with the Heisman if he has that many mistakes.

Not an excuse for all the deviant acts.

Not to my knowledge, but it's part of a broader pattern. Sorry that you don't like that.

It's a pattern. The reason for that pattern could be one of many. Maybe your issue is not paying attention because you have a habit of texting. Maybe you feel you get away with. Maybe you feel the speed limits are wrong so it's a lack of respect for authority.

That would be a pattern of cheating to get ahead in life with no regard to laws. Feeling protected from or above the law. It also goes with Cecil's request for money. Those are no longer mistakes. knowingly breaking rules and laws are not mistakes.

A person's prefrontal cortex is not fully formed until they are 24 or 25. Now I'm sure you don't know what the prefrontal cortex does, so I'll explain: This brain region has been implicated in planning complex cognitive behaviors, personality expression, decision making and moderating correct social behavior ( Yang Y, Raine A (November 2009). "Prefrontal structural and functional brain imaging findings in antisocial, violent, and psychopathic individuals: a meta-analysis").
Now then with this new information...let's put it in context: Cam Newton is now 22 years old. Is he legally an adult? Absolutely, but the part of his brain that is responsible for decision making and correct social behavior is still not fully formed.
More context: When he was arrested for the laptop incident he was 19 years old. Was he legally an adult? Yes, but once again, his prefrontal cortex was not fully developed.

All you need is one felony on the record and it stays with you.

12-13 in a year does look bad.

may or may not have cheated on a test.
That would have gotten most of us kicked out of school if it was true. The problem I have is athletes in general get off with stuff like this. It isn't a Cam thing.

So he's clean because he only had one felony and the rest of the stuff is hard to prove? The guys track record doesn't look great to an outsider.
Dez Bryant doesn't have a long record but the guy still seems like a moron. James Harrison is similar. Antonio Cromartie is dumb as a rock. I don't think Cam is a hardened criminal but I don't think he's a guy that would be confused for having great morals and ethics.

Most people have enough development in their prefrontal cortex to not commit a felony.
I'm not going to make excuses for Jimmy Johns selling coke because he was too young to make a good decision. He was an idiot, thug, and criminal.

This is true, but he doesn't have a felony on his record. All charges against him were dropped after he completed a court-approved pretrial diversion program.

It does look bad, but that doesn't make him a "criminal" in and of itself. All I gather from it is this: he's a shitty driver and his insurance most be outrageous

I completely agree with this. Athletes always get away with things that normal people don't. It's not restricted to CFB; I've seen this in HS sports.

Can we not give this a rest? I mean we dont even know if the Cam situation is the part that is still being investigated. Last I checked there were a few other areas they were being investigated in as well. Thibadeaux, Willy Lyles, Gene Chizik's lack of teeth, I mean seriously, we get that you think Cam is the illustration of evil. I can guarantee that he doesnt give a flying curly headed frick though for what its worth.
Posted on 7/14/11 at 1:43 pm to arwicklu
So your argument for Cam being guilty of being paid is the following... He stole a laptop, can't drive worth a shite, and he might have cheated on some test. There for he must have been paid. It's a clear pattern of deviant criminal behavior...
Why don't you provide us with 1 check, a bank deposit, a bingo winnings receipt, something, anything to prove he was paid? Seriously put up or shut up. I don't wanna hear about a traffic ticket, or a fricking laptop, I want you to provide 1 shred of evidence that Cam received even a dollar to attend AU.
btw no one disputes cecil was looking to get paid. What I want you to do is prove to us he was paid.

As far as I know, he doesn't have a felony on his record. He entered a court provided program and may or may not have had his record expunged. He was never convicted of a felony.

No. That means he either (1)drives too fast or (2)is a shitty driver.

Speeding is a misdemeanor, just like jaywalking is in most cases. I would hardly classify people who get speeding or jaywalking tickets as criminals.

Everyone knows he did not have all speeding tickets, right? I know it is a ticket, but some of the "violations" were like having tag obscured(which means he probably had either a vanity plate holder or one of those plate covers), not having his liscense, rolling stop sign stops, etc...
Posted on 7/14/11 at 1:54 pm to NYCAuburn
he had 13 tickets. Stop making excuses.
