I love how Thamel, who has egg all over his face with the Cam Story, come out of hibernation after 6 months of silence. All he can do is quote another coach at the meeting, what happened to all his connections at the NCAA. Who here believes (besides the bammmers) that Chizik peppered the NCAA on an investigation on his school in an OPEN forum. Then telling all other schools that the NCAA Investigation was hurting his recruiting.

You honestly think Thamel lied about 5 or so quotes from different SEC head coaches? You can't really be this stupid. You think the conspiracy against Auburn has gone so far that you can't even believe that Chizik actually asked the question even though 5 coaches say he did. My God this is fun.

I'm not reading the rest of this thread, but are the Auburn fans still in denial about what will eventually happen to the Auburn football program?

Yes.

We're still in denial that message board posters know what is going to happen to the Auburn program.

Don Jackson was on Finebaum the other day, and he said that these investigations can last up to two years before they're officially closed.

I'm not overly worried about this investigation still being open.

I'm more worried why Chizik decided to ask about it at that meeting.

If something comes out that we did, nail us and clean house. I've always felt that way.

Until I hear that though, I don't feel the need to defend ourselves against anyone.

You should be very, very, very worried about both.

I wish the NCAA would find something or just STFU. It is amazing how long these investigations take and how long they loom over a program. I really don't want to see anything happen to Auburn--this would not be good for the SEC.

Because he's a message board poster.

And message board guys know how to put two and two together with an extra "What if?" on the side better than anybody.
