Threads always come up about who you would like to add to the SEC...There looks to be a real possibility that the SEC may change. Like Colorado to the Pac 10 or Mizzou or Iowa State to the Big Ten,does the big 12 attempt to add Arkansas? Would Arkansas fans be for or against it. Who do you add in place of Arkansas.

I'd say Memphis with SEC funding and local talent they could be better than Arkansas if given time to build their football program. Basketball is already top notch, and geographically it makes sense.

Because you are not in the South East, Fayatteville is in the midwest, and your traditional rivals don't play in the SEC.

Why does everyone hang on to tradition? You are wanting to add another school...How much tradition is that?

Can you read, turn the caps locks off and look at the op, it's a hypothetical question. If the big twelve loses a member, do they attempt to bring Arkansas in. Then I go onto ask if Arkansas fans would be for or against it. Then who we would add to the SEC. Never once did I say I want Arkansas to leave or that I wanted to add another school.

Ar-Kansas (having fun) should stay in the SEC...They have a good athletic program...Football, baseball, basketball and track...Why do some want Arkansas to leave, in favor of Memphis...No...I like the Razorbacks in the SEC...

The Pac 10 will not be adding a team. There is no reason. In fact it would mess their schedule up to add another team, they could not play everyone in conference then.

They would have to add two teams. I have seen where some think they could potentially add Colorado and Utah.

I'd prefer Georgia Tech back in the SEC before Memphis, but I doubt Arky will ever leave. Hypothetically if it came to it, raid the ACC and get GT. If for some reason we needed two go for Tech and FSU.

Every conference should have a Conference Championship Game...Who cares about playing every member of one's conference...A Conference Championship Game puts everything on the line...

You've been on this board long enough to see this asked and answered 1000 times

Memphis?

Look I hate the University of Memphis, but geographically it makes sense. They have a better basketball program right now than anyone in the SEC outside of Kentucky. They would lock down the city of Memphis if it became an SEC school, and would be able to compete and win if given time to build their program.

I thought of Georgia Tech, but it prob would not really expand the SEC's footprint.

If the SEC lost Arkansas, LSU and Texas A&M have played in the past, the Bear Bryant connection with Bama and Texas A&M and they have played some other SEC West Teams. A&M might work and also opens up some East Texas recruiting and expand the SEC's footprint and TV Audience.

In the east they could take a shot at North Carolina, just not sure how the NC basketball program would like that change.
