I was playing with a spreadsheet was for the fun of it and this is what I came up with for the pods and permanent rivals.

Pod A ---------- Rivals From Pod B - Rival Form Pod C ----- Rivals Form Pod D

Texas ---------- Texas A&M --------- Alabama -------------- Florida
Oklahoma ----- LSU ----------------- Tennessee ------------ Georgia
Arkansas ------ Ole Miss ----------- Kentucky -------------- Auburn
Missouri ------- Miss St ------------- Vanderbilt ------------- South Carolina

Pod B ---------- Rivals Form Pod A - Rivals Form Pod D ---- Rival Form Pod C

Texas A&M ------ Texas ------------- Georgia -------------- Tennessee
LSU ------------ Oklahoma ---------- Florida -------------- Alabama
Ole Miss ------- Arkansas ---------- Auburn --------------- Vanderbilt
Miss St -------- Missouri ---------- South Carolina ------- Kentucky

Pod C ---------- Rivals Form Pod D - Rivals Form Pod A Rivals From Pod B

Alabama -------- Auburn ------------ Texas ---------------- LSU
Tennessee ------ Florida ----------- Oklahoma ------------- Texas A&M
Kentucky ------- Georgia ----------- Arkansas ------------- Miss St
Vanderbilt ----- South Carolina ---- Missouri ------------- Ole Miss

Pod D ---------- Rival Form Pod C -- Rivals From Pod B ---- Rivals Form Pod A

Auburn --------- Alabama ----------- Ole Miss ------------- Arkansas
Florida -------- Tennessee --------- LSU ------------------ Texas
Georgia -------- Kentucky ---------- Texas A&M ------------ Oklahoma
South Carolina - Vanderbilt -------- Miss St -------------- Arkansas

It’ll be pods. Sankey said main focus is all teams playing each other as much as possible

Then UGA, UF, USC, & UK would have NO open slots due to their ACC in-state rivalry.

Swap Arkansas and Aggy. Then we have a Big 12 pod and they absolutely melt the frick down. I know I'm being a pussy by requesting an easier pod but

UGA & Florida have NOTHING with SC nor Kentucky.

this is bullshite

we have had a year;y game with SC as long as I can remember

WE were responsible for bringing them into the conference

and WE are their most important SEC rival game

there will not be a pod that does not pair us with them or at a minimum, you can count on UGA vs SC to be an annual rival game

Has there been any rumblings of what might happen? Two divisions? Team movement? 4 pods?

I heard CNS say he was in favor of a Pod's system since it would guarantee you play everybody home and away within a 4-5 year period. As opposed to playing some schools only once in a 8-12 yr period....now when CNS speaks.............. .. . . ........... ..............................
.....people(G. Sankey)listens.

Conference re-alignment once OU/TU join? by AUCE05
I am willing to give up the IB. Not giving up the DSOR.

I'll give up the "Iron Bowl" but not the TSIO.

Just means too much to us that love and support the Capstone..

AUBURN? That 40 yr hiatus shaped the IB into what once was the most intense and hardest fought in-state rivalry in all of college football..

Soon, after another 40something years of hardly playing each other, AU might start carrying their water again and live up to their part of the hate. By becoming a good to very good football program again!

Check what I have said about that. Eleven SEC games! That is only way to make it work. Seven in own division. Four cross over. Next year Same crossover and switch home field. Third year seven in own division. Four other crossover. Fourth year Seven in same division. Four crossover from third year and switch home field. All this in Four years. What I like about this one is it is much easier and easier to decide division and then the crossover is simple too. After four years the crossover can change. Like same four then other four then after four years can go with two and two from previous four and four.

They should stick with two divisions. Move Bama and Aub to the East and Mizzou to the West. With Bama and Aub in the East, the crossover game can be eliminated. Go to a 9-game conference schedule - 7 division games and the other 2 conference games are evenly rotated amongst the 8 teams from the other division so that you play every team once every 4 years.
