Florida is worried they couldn't compete adding another Florida school. South Carolina is not going to allow Clemson to be added.
You mean like A&M kept Texas out? That ship sailed.

UNC is a good fit. Mizzu should be dismissed.
lol. Mizzou isn't going anywhere.
What will probably happen is an SEC four team expansion, the B1G taking 2-4, and the XII adding scraps.
My guess at the SEC Four are: Clemson, North Carolina, Va Tech and Flordia State.
Then comes going to a 9 or 10 game conference schedule and decisions on gauranteed playoff spots for conferences.
If they did gauranteed playoff spots you could play tough non-con's without penalty. Win SEC your games and you're in.

Clemson/FSU are no Texas A&M, not even close. Texas has 6 times the population of South Carolina. FSU might, and I mean might have a chance at the SEC, but I don’t think Clemson has any chance. Clemson brings no additional revenue or viewing area.

I can't imagine why Alabama, Auburn, Florida, or Georgia would want FSU in the league, particularly the Alabama schools.
I just don't see what FSU and Clemson bring that we don't already have. I think we could actually make those teams worth less by bringing them in.

The only teams that would be worth bringing from a revenue standpoint at this juncture for the SEC would be the following:
1. Notre Dame
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Penn State
5. North Carolina
6. Virginia
7. Virginia Tech
That’s it, literally anyone else would be a loss or break even at best. If Florida State or Clemson had any kind of offer from the Big 10 or SEC, they would have taken it already.

That awful athletic department has a: 6-6 record against Tennessee in football 10-13 record against Tennessee in basketball 17-16 record against Tennessee in baseball So does that make Tennessee an awful athletic department too?
Beat me to it....Mizzou is contributing a hell of a lot more than a lot of these programs whining like little biatches.
Based on the Vol's assertion about us reinforces the fact that they certainly aren't improving the IQ of the SEC. We add that as well as our many other contributions. Vol's are a bit jealous of our quick success in the SEC.

what is Mizzou contributing in? Being a bunch of dorks?

Has Mizzou been more relevant than UTk over the last 10 years?

Another comment from Tennessee Vol stooges. Stooges who consistently get their azz whipped by Florida, Georgia and Alabama and still think they’re relevant. You get the hell out of the conference. We are staying.

quote:You have to get Tulane back in the SEC, so LSU can have an in-state rival to close the season with.
Add 3 schools:
FSU- Historically good football program, SEC fanbase
UNC- Not a good football program, but gives us the Jordan Brand and basketball
Clemson- Good football program as of late, their fanbase is sort of SEC, kind of cultish.
The LSU-Tulane rivalry used to be intense.
Since Willie Fritz elevated the "Tuck Fulane" football program to where it's at the "Respectable" level currently, it's time to get them back in.
They have an on-campus stadium now and It will give all their opponents on the schedule a trip to New Orleans every other year.
Just Do It........

That’s an old wives tale, just like uf and fsu are mandated by law to play.
And just like the SEC had an unwritten agreement to never add another team from a state in which they already had a member. Right aggy? ??

The only program outside of UNC, UVA and VT who can bring something to the conference that does not already exist is Notre Dame....and nobody wants that. It would be coup to bring ND in but it would be the end of the conference as any sort of regional conference.
I have wondered what ND in the SEC would do to the B1G. But I agree with you that it then nullifies the regionality we have. (Would also cause possible travel nightmares like UCLA/B1G).

I would personally welcome THE Antarctica Beauty College with open arms BEFORE Ohio State.
