If you consider a dynasty winning 3 championships in 5 years, you left out Alabama 1933-1937. Bama was SEC champions in 1933, 1934, & 1937.

I'd be a lot more convinced if you all wouldn't respond to the post. The fact that you took time says you at least gave one small turd if not more.

That 71-79 stretch for Bama with no conference championship ties is pretty impressive.

Well, there is Princeton and Yale with 28 and 27.

You could argue they don't count because they were not AP named, but then you would have to say that 1925,1926,1930,1934,1941 and 1973 do not count for Alabama.

Then the AP poll was released before Bowl games until 1968, which throws 1964 into doubt.

I have seen many Alabama fans claim Georgia's 1942 title does not count because they were not AP named champions, even thought they were consensus National Champions. Fair enough. If we only count AP named titles, then Alabama has 12 they can count.

It's all subjective, but I consider a dynasty to be 3 championships in 5 years.

Hince the debates: all depends on a person’s individual definition.

?

Not understanding this. LSU beat Ole Miss in 1961 and was co-champ of the conference with Bama.

And it's a long time ago, but LSU did win back-to-back conference championships in 1935-36.

Nope. The 2009 SECCG was epic. Florida was going for its 3rd national championship in 4 years, its first undefeated season, and they brought everyone back to get it done. BAMA winning the SEC was the official start of the BAMA dynasty, the complete changing of the guard. 2009-2023.

Frankly, given that BAMA won the SEC in 2020, 21, 23, and played in the SECCG in 25 might well indicate no one should be in a big hurry to suggest BAMA won't dominate the Roaring Twenties. I mean, other than SEC hubris. But then, that's hardly science or fact.

That'd basically be predicting multpiple national championshps for Alabama in the next 4 years, so good luck with that.

Ok. I’m gonna burn all my LSU memorabilia because the program has never had a dominate era. The program is a top 12 program all time . I was OK with that but you just set me straight. I guess I needed to hear it.

But damn! 2019 was FUN !!

Georgia could very well have Bamas trophy case. They are gaining every year. And with Saban gone and Kirby not yet 50 the sky is the limit

The thread was, and is, concerning SEC dynasties. That would have very little to do with the number of NCs that result.

There are only two dynasties in the SEC:

Bear's
Saban's

One could make the argument for Spurrier, and Neyland would almost assuredly have had one if not for the war.

These three year stretches are hardly dynasties.
