Big Bang Theory is funny, I've watched every episode since it started. I think Community, East Bound and Down, 30 Rock, and the underrated, but returning, Breaking In on Fox are all more consistently funny than BBT has been recently.
I reject your /thread and look forward to others' input on what shows they find comically entertaining.

This thread actually got more interesting as it went on. Nice.
BBT: NOT the funniest show on tv. Entertaining yes, but as mentioned earlier, not consistent enough to take top honors. Rewind 2 years and I'd probably give it to HIMYM but its been in a steady decline for the past couple of seasons. If we're strictly talking sit-coms I'd give Community and 30 Rock my top 2 spots, though I hear good things about Parks and Rec. New Girl has had some (like 2... douchebag jar comes to mind) REALLY funny episodes but too many weird/unfunny parts/episodes to compete. If I get anything, then Daily Show and Colbert Report take it by a wide margin.
